It isn't that impossible to understand. Imagine if the neighbor were, for example, an older man, or a minority, or that he knew Brad had lots of guns including dangerous illegal weapons. Reporting this right away as DV would allow the police to intercede (so it was, definitely, the right thing to do), yet it could result in retribution against anyone who reported it, maybe especially this witness. The neighbor might have known that and feared it. Anyway, let's thank him for finally reporting what he knew to police starting at 9:50 pm on 10/8, and pray that he continues to tell everything he experienced going forward, including in court.

You all ask the wrong questions. If you had therapists or abuse counselors on they would tell you this isn’t all of the sudden. She was probably abused for years & when she finally chose to leave (the most unsafe time for a woman getting out) the abuser increases.

Susans Mother needs to go see Brad .Tell him u want to understand.Iam not getting younger we have children to think of.Your youngest being 5.Tell them where she is so we can grieve.Make a plea deal .Was it accidentall u need to think of the children only right now.

The 5yr telling her teachers,' Daddy hit Mommy and she didn't get up.' means it was no accident,imo. Do you think they'll want to call a 5yr old though?

They don't have to, but they might still do it or enter this as a sworn statement rather than have her testify in court. There is a bunch of other evidence that shows it was no accident including what the neighbor saw and heard as well as all the things that Brad Simpson allegedly did after the alleged murder.
