I am a Nelson County resident, Coxs Creek (as the guest mentioned at 19:00) to be exact. We are about 20 minutes south of Louisville, Kentucky. I live on a 500 acre farm and it's extremely rural and mostly farmland. It's a BEAUTIFUL place that is not deserving of this kind of evil happening here. Everyone around here has known since day 1 that Brooks killed her and I'd also guess that The Houk family has another body or two under their belt. Namely, Brooks' brother Matt, The ex Bardstown Police Officer, I believe, as do most others around here, that killed a fellow officer Jason Ellis prior to Crystals disappearance. They're evil through and through, and it's a matter of time before Nick Houk is arrested too, for Tommy Ballards murder as well!!!! Edit to add: I don't personally know the Ballard/ Rogers families, but I did see Miss Ballard, Sherry at Walmart in Bardstown a few weeks ago and as your guest said, Vinnie, Sherry handles herself with grace and tact and she somehow beams of light and kindness in spite of the weight of the grief and tragedies she has had to endure. I mean that wholeheartedly, too! SHE is worthy of justice from this MONSTER BROOKS

I have always had a feeling they may have also been involved in the murder of Officer Ellis. Then there is also the murders of the mother and daughter in their home prior to Officer Ellis's murder. Thanks for posting. It's good to hear the views of the locals.

I Once owned 20 Acres in Casey County KY..A logger conspired with a saw mill owner and they ripped me off for about $50,000 in logs, 15 years ago when my husband was sick and dying ..I had words with the logger and he threatened to kill me and no one would find me....I was petrified because its very rural..When he threatened me I was in the mill office and had a 189 lb Bull Mastiff outside in my truck and when that guy screamed at me my dog almost came through the mill office windows and took out my passenger window which slowed him down so I could run out of there and grab him because the mill guy started loading a pistol, I got outa there quickly..I had been taking pictures of my logs in the sawmill and he said I couldn't prove it and I said to him that I have the stumps in my woods and pictures of my logs in your sawmill and i can match the rings on the ends of my logs to my stumps .He came UNHINGED....

I live in the same area and Brooks and his brother Nick and their little flunkies are guilty as sin and I hope they all go to prison for the rest of their lives ! Crystal’s family has been through more grief than anyone should have to endure and they deserve justice ! Sadly I don’t think that Crystal is ever going to be found and that’s so sad .

This is going to be a doozy of a trial. The entire Houck family are involved (imo). I believe Nick was involved somewhat in the death of Tommy Ballard. Also there has been some very strange deaths of a mother & daughter and also a police officer . I hope all this comes out in trial.

It happened many years ago. I believe in 2015. And her father Tommy's murder was about a year later, sometime in 2016. But they haven't found her, despite many searches, however Mr Houk and Misters Lawson and Lawson wasn't arrested until late September 2023. Trial is upcoming in Kentucky

her name is also crystal and at one point they were both taking down missing signs posters of crystal. she must not be able to get another man ?? And this miserable sob has custody of Crystal's youngest son who has been kept away from Sherry and his other siblings. until he is dead or in jail the child will stay w brooks and nothing Ballard's can do.
