@@Ana-i8u2s : if someone got hit and had a serious life-altering injury, became blind or disfigured or God only knows what - even ended up with a brain injury or death, it could be "the rest of his life in jail." People getting hit from a heavy object thrown from a 6th story balcony could actually permanently disable someone or kill them. Most people would take this seriously. Alcohol kills.

Drive drunk and hit someone THEN it becomes a felony. 1 chair no intent, no deadly weapon, no injuries does not equal 3 felonies. That's the law, he was over charged.

It didn’t hit anybody. It came close to hitting two officers. Imagine if the chair landed near your loved one - your mom or dad or sister or brother and you found out it didn’t fall by accident but some drunk guy threw it off the roof from six floors up because he thought it was funny. @LoganSevers: There were a lot of country stars that could NOT read or write. They routinely got ripped off by their managers for years. Not so much now as public school is for everyone and children are required to attend school until 16 in most states. Not so much in the "old days" and still plenty who DON'T graduate from high school and can't read or write very well. I work with them every single day and do what I can to help. The judge was asking a normal routine question to be sure the defendant is protected if they can't.

When she asked about mental illness he should have said “I have an uncle that does yoga” and I’m so suspicious I think maybe he was trying to call attention to that officer with the Russian sounding name.

Wow! How many other people that threw chairs or glasses or beer bottles in a bar in Nashville have been treated this harsh! I been to Nashville and seen some wild crazy things on Broadway but never posted like Morgan Wallen! I guess they really want him out of Nashville and the country music association!

I hope he is able to turn things around and be a decent role model for those who look up to him and/or consider themselves a fan of his. He has a lot of responsibility on that stage both literally and figuratively. I don’t know the whole story surrounding this night, but prayers for anyone harmed by his actions.
