People getting hit from a heavy object thrown from a 6th story balcony could actually permanently disable someone or kill them. Most people would take this seriously. Alcohol kills.

It didn’t hit anybody. It came close to hitting two officers. Imagine if the chair landed near your loved one - your mom or dad or sister or brother and you found out it didn’t fall by accident but some drunk guy threw it off the roof from six floors up because he thought it was funny. Would you say that near disastrous even that involved your loved ones right near the chair landing is “a lot”? Doubt it.

@LoganSevers: There were a lot of country stars that could NOT read or write. They routinely got ripped off by their managers for years. Not so much now as public school is for everyone and children are required to attend school until 16 in most states. Not so much in the "old days" and still plenty who DON'T graduate from high school and can't read or write very well. I work with them every single day and do what I can to help. The judge was asking a normal routine question to be sure the defendant is protected if they can't.

In my opinion from seeing how far he has came not only in his career but his life, it is good that he got what he got from it. He really is a great person in general. Anyone who knows him knows he is and is also working on being a better man for himself, his family, his fans, team, and everyone else. You can tell he was a bit nervous but at the same time did a great job because he was not only honest but also very respectful. We all make mistakes. I believe the probation will not only help him but be what he needs. I wish the best for him and I'm glad the judge wasn't too hard on him either.

Two years ago a guy did the same thing only the chair hit someone and caussed serious injury. He got two years probation no jail time. He wasn't a celebrity maybe he was a billionaire but I doubt it.
