This location is slated for a full renovation in 2024, not just a room refresh, according to front desk staff. Will get back in there when complete to see the changes. A great Marriott value in Waikiki.

Awesome! They told me a full renovation is coming in 2024 so it will be interesting to see how things roll out. Hopefully it doesn't mean a huge price increase as this location has great value at its current price point right now.

I really enjoyed this hotel tour. I wondered what it was like inside the rooms since we’ve always stayed at the Queen Kapiolani for years and just recently the Twin Fin. This looks like a great option but I would need a little bigger room with two Queen beds. Looked really nice though.

I can't wait to review the Queen Kapiolani and Twin Fin, the Deck restaurant gets great reviews as well.

We're currently staying here and I hate to say it, but it needs to be said: this hotel sucks. 1. Kalo is closed permanently 2. No bar 3. Room housekeeping is every other day 4. Shower size is tiny - literally 27"x30" 5. Paint peeling everywhere 6. Broken door handles 7. Bathroom sink is literally a powder room size vanity 8. Parking is $58/day It feels like Marriott bought an old decrepit apartment complex and did the bare minimum to covert it to a hotel. We were upgraded to the top floor because of loyalty status, but our room faces another hotel directly across from us on Kuhio. We normally stay at the Sheraton or Royal Hawaiian and thought we could try and save some money on a last second trip by staying here at the Courtyard. 100% never returning here again. BTW - our daily free breakfast perk was changed to $20/day at the lobby "MaRkEtpLaCe" where a sandwich is $8-10. Edit: to be frank, we've stayed at countless Courtyards and they were great. This one? No. Edit 2: grossly overestimated the shower size. Corrected and measured

Hi Geoff, Thank you for updating me on Kalo being closed, It is a huge hit to this property. I have updated a couple articles that mentioned them. Those showers are crazy small and the food prices in Waikiki are really out of control. I know this location is slotted for a "refresh" this coming year so I hope the can fix those other issues. It also looks like they raised the parking fee, was $55 just a few months ago. Geesh. I hope your next stay at the Sheraton or Royal is much better. Also keep an eye out for the new Renaissance near Ala Moana, March 2024 open date. Aloha.
