Cousins Meet For The Very First Time

As a grown man, I have to confess that I need some serious supervision! In all my years on social media, never have I been so hooked or smitten by one family like this. You know it’s bad when I dream about this family regularly as if they were part my bloodline. Tami, Wayne, Momo, the boys, Papa Chin, the doyennes of class, culture and taste - Mama Mitchell and Nana Fowl - and now Baby Ivy. I never saw this coming, but y’all got me good! I am straddling between Seattle and San Diego now, but with you guys, I am smack in the heart of Jamaica. All my senses are engaged whenever I watch you all. I am tasting the sweet potato pudding and smelling the haunting aroma of East Indian mangoes. I hear the cadence of love and harmony. I see a family on the move to change the world in a positive way. I vicariously touch innovation and laughter galore. Bright beginnings to all of you!

I admire 😍 how the boys are already being so protective of their sister. Being an only girl myself and growing up with 3 brothers is like sweet and sour candy that you can’t just get enough of. They tease you and may drive you insane, but they will also protect you and love you. Despite never having a sister to trade clothes with, I never wished my family looked different. Even after all this time, I'd never in a million years trade one of those knuckleheads in. Who needs a superhero, when Ivy has her brothers 😊.

How blessed and lucky you all are to have brothers who love and protect you and have your back. I have three brothers, the one that gave me the love of a brother sadly passed away last year, I am still not quite able to comprehend that he is not here, he was my everything since I was a child. The other two are total scum, I learned a long time ago that blood does not necessarily make you family it is just DNA. I have been blessed by the male friends in my life who treat me like a sister on every level they are my brothers.

Tami I hate when they cluster feed because I truly feel like they grow faster when they do lol...cluster feeding in the evening is heaven when they begin to sleep through though (wink) lol. Not surprised Tami is already back on schedule, you can almost tell the recovery observing the mother's energy during pregnancy and we all know Tami was blessed with extras lol.
