Ikr, by the time halo reach was introduced there was less blood and gore, that was the beginning of the franchises downfall along with taking the funny dialogue away from the AI. :(

Funny voicelines were still in Reach, just more hidden. Never forget how if you killed an ally, Marines would sometimes yell "Don't make me teabag you!"

lol, i could never get over how smart the zealots were as ai's in halo ce, they would make it almost impossible to stick them with a grenade cus theyd either jump really high and put their nuts in ur face, or hide until u got close, one of the aspects of halo i still miss 2 this day :(

I agree with you lol I dislike to fight the flood, but I do want them to come back, Halo 3 flood don't creep me out as much as halo 1 and 2 make them. The Human Combat Forms r Creepy....

I liked in Halo 3 that they would infect and take over bodies right in front of you instead of Halo 1/2 where it was “trust us the process is terrible, we can’t show you but it is bad”.

I suspect it was deliberately put in by Bungie so that when facing them in the campaign (and more so on higher difficulties) it'd allow the player to get a few more shots in on it before it charged. Looks pretty funny when put in situations like this though! Spot enemy, rage, kill, spot enemy, rage, kill etc. etc.

I’d love to see a fixed number of covenant vs marines vs flood and see who’s last team standing. No sniper marines.

Covenant most likely depending on what variants of flood and how many elites I put. Marines would lose easy because they stagger over every shot in Halo 1. So they spend far too much time in animations. If I have enough elites they will body the flood. But if there are enough carriers forms then the flood could get it done because of the explosions and infection forms distraction. Sadly I uninstalled the game from my PC and people have reported a lot of issues getting this running on win10 following a guide I made so I am not in a position at the moment to test such things.

Overlord Actual oh well. I remember playing 007 nightfire on PS2 and Xbox and even that game allowed bots. I always thought bots would’ve been a no brainer but halo never incorporated them. Having the option would’ve been almost as game changing as forge was in halo 3. So many different opportunities would’ve opened up. It’s a shame.

It would be nice to have official support for bots in some capacity. People could make semi custom campaign maps if given the right tools. At the very least it would make it easier to do these type of ai battles.

It is not a mod specifically. It is a set of tools you have to get. It is a lot to do. More than just downloading a mod. kzbin.info/www/bejne/faezfqmhpa51a6c (This is the video I used to learn how to do this). It is much more work now, and is not as straightforward.

Though, you could technically find some maps to download that have preset AI battles but it would still require you be able to get an Original Halo PC disc. Which is hard. I don't know why it isn't available for download.

TheLavaSerpent Gaming This is no mod. It is really just a tool set. You need the base game, Halo Custom Edition, then the tool kit (I forget the name of it). It contains a program called sapien which you can use to edit the maps. then you have to compile it so you can use it in the game. I'd like to go back and try to get this running again but I can't find my working Halo 1 PC game to install.
