I love your guys show . It's one of the best that I watch of a dozen and a half. I really like the informative way you do it. The follow up pics with info and some times examples from your collection. I hope your show never ends . I am learning alot and I can't get to the bottles shows or flee markets. Thank you for your many hours of enjoyment.

Sorry you can't get out to the shows.. but glad we can bring them to you. Part 2 of this show will be coming soon: the rest of the bottles, and what we bought. Thanks for watching us! 👋😃😎

Cathy and Drew, it amazes me how many different, unique old bottles and jugs that have been preserved all those decades. Bummer on the rain. Nice German marbles. Excited for part two. Thanks for bringing us along.👍😀👏

You're welcome! Yes, too bad about the rain.. many dealers didn't show because of it. We COULD have spent a fortune there, but we didn't go too crazy. You will see what we bought for bottles in Part 2. Thanks for watching! 👋😃😎👍🎃🍁

Hello Cathy and Drew. Awesome bottle show and video. Part 1 was nice to watch with so many different types of bottles. I even saw some cast iron toy vehicles for sale on those first tables you showed on this video. It was interesting to hear the last person say at the end of this video, "Everything is for sale, this is not a museum" and well, it is a bottle show to, right? LOL It's nice to see and know that we can have a flea market type bottle show to go buy bottles at. 🙂 Lew will probably watch this after work and then hopefully we can both watch Part 2 together. Have a good & safe week and Halloween. Take care and happy hunting to the both of you. -----Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew)

Hi Jeff & Lew, Hope you both got to see Part 1 of the bottle show. I am working on part 2 now. Many dealers cancelled out cuz of the weather.. too bad, but I would have spent more anyway! Lol Yes, I wasn't sure what to make of that last dealer's comment🤔. I WOULD have bought something, if he had what I was looking for... I don't have room for large bottles! 😬 Anyway, you will see what we ended up buying in part 2. 👋😃😎🎃

Hi 👋🏻 Kathy and Drew this was a nice bottle showing, I enjoyed the rare old bottles. Although, I couldn’t afford the prices they wanted. Those colors stand out I like the blues, turquoise, pinks and red. I have been looking at some thrift stores for red glass or rare colors. Maybe one day I will find something wonderful….Have a fantastic week see you on the second part 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

Hi There! 👋😃 Glad you enjoyed part 1 of the show.. Aside from the rain, it was a pretty good show. I saw MANY things I liked... (Still thinking about a couple I didn't buy.. oh well.) But it was nice to see some different dealers, with different bottles. (And some familiar faces 😁) More great stuff in part 2 (and some actually affordable!) -Cathy💖

Hi Cathy and Drew, it's great to be back at a bottle show! I like the marbles you chose, they are beauties. I was fascinated by the 'Stiegel' bottle, what a novel way to propose! I love the folk art on them. All the bottles are beautiful....I could never choose lol. 😃💖x

Hi Amanda! Welcome back! Lol. Yes, hard to choose at a show like this.. cuz you can't afford to buy many! 💲💲 Lots of high end stuff! We did buy some though. You will see in Part 2. The weather was terrible, forcing many dealers to cancel. The ride there was frightening! 😵 We won't be doing that drive in the rain again! We went in the river this week, but the water was too high to find much. Still it was nice to get out and kayak amongst the fall foliage. Hope you enjoyed your trip! 👋😃💖

Hi Rita! Glad you enjoyed part 1 of the bottle show. Yes, there were some nice "iron pontil" bottles there! The "society for historical archaeology" website explains all the different types of pontils in great detail! The iron oxide is the result of using a "bare iron pontil rod" to hold the base of the bottle while it was being made (no added glass to the rod). Anyway, you never want to remove that black/gray stuff if you see that on the base.. Do not scrub it off! 😯 These bottles usually date somewhere between 1850's - 1870 or so. (Probably more than you wanted to know Lol 🙂💖)

Cathy, I got it now, iron pontil. Yes, if I go to an estate sale or, any sale where I do see the iron pontil, I know it's a special bottle. Thank you for taking the time to explain!!! Have a good week.

Turquoise for some unexplainable reason is now my favorite bottle color …. I’m drawn to them I really enjoyed that ACL bottle table …. I spent 6 1/2 years of my life over in New Canaan I guess it’s why I am a history nerd Excellent cinematic camera work Cathy …. Yes I am entertained and I desire more please 🙏

Hi Christopher! Glad you enjoyed Part 1 of the Coventry bottle show... I am already working on Part 2. You will see a little more of Drew, and the bottles we ended up buying. Too bad it rained.. there would have been many more dealers. This is an annual event. Hopefully next year will be better, weather-wise. (The road trip was frightening!😵) Yes, the ACL bottles could keep your eyes busy for a long time! We almost never find good ACL bottles in the ground or in the river.. (although Rocks Cousteau digs them looking "new" in his town dump!) Thanks for complimenting my camera work 🙂 although I was disappointed that the GoPro didn't focus on the marbles in the box... (Begining of the video). I do try to go slowly, and show as much as I can, at eye level, so you feel like you're there. Nothing wrong with being a "history nerd". I hated history in school. It was so boring. I wasn't interested in battles, or presidents, or memorizing dates of documents. But I WAS interested in the every day objects and lives of the average person, 100+ years ago. I think every thing, and everyone, has a story to tell. -Cathy😁

Omg 😱… It took me a lil’ bit Cathy ! I figured out who The Drew-Meister reminds me of ( and it is ment in complementary fashion ) The great actor, Walter Matthau !!! I know that I am not the first to make this association !! Looking forward to the next Coventry video. I hope there’s beer cans. 😅
