Hi Susan, The purple bottles start out clear. They contain manganese, in the glass, which causes them to turn purple when irradiated (exposed to sun or other radiation). The purple milk glass jar, near the end, is an exceptional result! 😯💜

And all of those $1 bottles.. bargains! We just don't have the room for them. (Meanwhile, we are going to the river again today, to get MORE!) 😬🙄 It's a disease! I haven't even gone through all the marbles yet.. I will do a separate video of that. Water is low now, so we need to take advantage!😁😎🚣🌞🦆

I was only hesitant because I could see some had condition issues. Condition is important, and it's tough to sell damaged ones. Most looked pretty good. Believe it or not, I haven't looked at all of them yet!

Hi There, Yes, it was a great buy, and I will be parting with some of them! I have three things I consider when buying marbles: are they old enough (pre-1970), is the condition good (not a lot of banged up, chipped, or cracked, marbles, and how many duplicates are in the bunch for the price. "Played with" marbles have little value, and I find plenty of damaged marbles in the river for free! 🙂💖
