Orgi, Mullings, Hall and Edwards along with that reloaded OL will force defenses to commit too many resources to stopping the run-leaving 2 or 3 DBs to defend the entire secondary. And here, Morgan, Morris, Loveland and company will have a field day-regardless of the absence of an elite passing QB. There are two sides to this coin.

If orgi can throw decently it should be a fun season. Repeat ? I am not sure about that . But a pretty good season should be in the works. The defense should be very good with a few new wrinkles. Keep rotating them in and out of games like they did last year. Just keep injuries under control and it will be a fun season.

Davis Warren has an elite trait. His ability to throw the deep ball is reminiscent of Tua Tagovailoa at Bama- on time, on target with the receivers not having to break stride.

The "new" guys have all either been in Michigan's system for a while already(like El-Hadi, Crippen...) or had extensive PT elsewhere(Priebe) and there are a lot of bodies. OL is Moore's specialty so he'll find the right combo by season start. OL is one area I am not worried about.

I admire the blind confidence. Returning least amount of production and starts in ncaa. Replacing all 5 OL! Replacing Qb. Lost a ton of veteran leadership. Oh yea and lost HC and a lot of his staff. It’s moronic to think won’t be growing pains. Have a new OL coach. Moore can’t coach OL and run program. Much tougher road and no more cupcake bigten title gm vs west. You’ll have to beat Oregon or OSU a second time probably.

The starting OL will avg 22-23 years of age , Moore groomed most of them for years . The guy taking over the OL is known as the smartest upcoming position coach on the staff and a former UM OL. Hinton started last year but was injured ; he healthy now at LT

I'm gonna push back on Sam's belief that Orji has to be able to throw the intermediate stuff to keep a defense off balance. If you have a premium athlete at QB, who is an absolute threat running the ball, and they can make good reads on the option, you really don't need to be able to do much short or intermediate passing, what you need to be able to do is loft that ball deep on occasion in a spot where your guy can make a play. It doesn't have to be a perfect ball, in stride, or anything like that (though that's ideal, obviously) you just have to be able to put enough air under it and in a spot where your receiver has the advantage to the ball. Short and intermediate stuff doesn't put as much stress on a defense in terms of how they play their safeties-- they can still walk 'em up to the LOS and cheat on the run game-- but when you split a guy out wide who can run by a corner and have a QB who can put it in the right place, then that defense is in more of a bind. The short and intermediate game threat, that comes from Orji's legs, coupled with Donovan and Mullings able to break off huge chunk plays.
