Tom your comments about the avg yds per carry in the nd game are a little misleading. They had some explosives, but overall it wasnt like navy was chunking for 4-6 yds per play.

You want a motivated OSU team, back them in a corner. Indiana's defence has played such terrible offenses. Their best run offense they have faced is Michigan at 74. Every other opponent is in the 90s or above.

Background, Ohio state has repped both potential backups a ton last year and at practice so they are very used to it and experienced. Not as big of a hit as losing Josh Simons was but it hurts because it compounds

Every two loss? That's a interesting statement. I can name a few right now that have two losses, which effect your resume, that are a lot worse than a top 5 team and the number one team. As well as a win over a top 5 team. But okay.

I am so sick of people in the comments about the Danny Kannel-Josh Pate debate. It’s so dumb and not even informative. This is why I’ve avoided college football for so long because all these fans are getting all hot and bothered about so dumb argument about strength of play and strength of schedule. College football is supposed to be about the football teams, not the analysts discussing them. Stop commenting about DK and Pate and talk about your own teams.

Ohio State fan here, losing Seth is concerning, but the guy taking his place was our starting C last year and has played well at G the past few weeks. The question mark is the new LG, but this isn't a death blow to their national title chances yet. If more injuries on the OL happen in the next few weeks? Yeah, they'd be in trouble.
@DavidShea22 ай бұрын
Tom Fornelli’s comment that if Cignetti wants to win a national title “he’s not going to do it at Indiana” struck me as a bit condescending, arrogant. Why not? The ink is not even dry on his new contract that I believe positions him among the top 15 highest paid CFB coaches. It appears to me that lowly Indiana has demonstrated its intent to be among the nation’s top programs. Again, why not? Who is Fornelli to proclaim Cignetti can’t build a national champion at Indiana?

Is there a reason they never mention UNC as a destination for a job opening? P4 job that Big Ten/SEC would surely swallow up if ACC crumbled. Mack is back for 2025? Chip not wanting the scent out?
@natekeller15692 ай бұрын
because it’s really not a destination job. It’s a school that will always prioritize basketball over football which is especially important in the new NIL era. Not to mention that Dabo has the area on lock for high school recruiting. Really hard to make inroads unless you’re coming in with a really good combo of culture building/recruiting chops.
@Ryan-ih4bb2 ай бұрын
@ it’s just as reasonable a destination as Kentucky or Arkansas, and as likely or more to open. UNC lands local elite talent went going well, even with Dabo there.
@natekeller15692 ай бұрын
@@Ryan-ih4bbYeah I mean I would absolutely include those two programs in the same category with UNC. I think their ceiling is limited. Maybe not as limited as an Arkansas or Kentucky. If I were a coach, it wouldn’t he at the top of my list. I want a school that’s going to invest in the program without me begging for them to give a shit
@CaponeLeo65382 ай бұрын
@@Ryan-ih4bbI think it just depends on your personal definition of “destination job” because neither Kentucky nor Arky are destination football jobs imo. A place you can make a ton of money? Sure. A place you can win anything of significance? Very unlikely.

uh, IU has lost major O line members this yr too, in Aug (Kidwell), and 2 wks ago (Evans)! the difference in this game will have been played out the last 2 wks in the coaches meetings - IU's coach's room is the most cohesive and well tuned as any, anywhere...I don't think Day has that down on how to run his coaches - he seems way too eager to throw them under the bus, as I interpret his passive aggressive comments on their responsibilities during pressers, ie he's not willing to take full responsibility for their decisions when he in fact is supposed to be. Not cohesive enough for the battle coming!
