As a BSU fan, I'm interested in seeing what happens with Green. Dude has great tools, but was never able to put them together at BSU. Especially as a passer. I worry that if he couldn't make it work at BSU, on the most talented team in the conference, playing on Arkansas vs the rest of the SEC could get rough. It took forever for Boise's coaches to bench him because apparently he was great in practice but just fell apart in games. But, if he can put it together, his ceiling is incredibly high.

The question is Dan Enos, or Bobby petrino. 100% of people will pick Bobby Petrino. Arkansas has 93% of its receiving core back in that offensive line is much improved. And the best tight end in the country is coming back

I don’t think last years sack numbers were all on the line. Jefferson held the ball too long at times. Additionally, he doesn’t have great pocket control. There are a lot of little things a QB can do with his feet to manipulate the pocket which helps your tackles out. Jefferson rarely does these things. He usually just kind of stands there, which makes it much easier on pass rushers. Thats why guys like Brady and Manning were so hard to sack. Good pass protection works together with a qb who has great pocket skills. As much as I enjoyed some of his big plays Jefferson made, he wasn’t that great if QB.

All the sacks on Jefferson that I saw were on the O-line. Most plays he had maybe 2 seconds to react. That's not enough time for a receiver to get separation or for a QB to find a running lane for a keeper

I hated playing in Little Rock as a player. Locker room was horrendous. All about the fans/boosters in the south I guess. Godfather Broyles knew not to piss off the Stephen’s, Inc cartel.

@@chriswise7978 it doesn’t matter what the schedule looks like. Looking at last year’s schedule, we shoulda had 7 wins at least. All I’m saying is stop underestimating our ability to lose winnable games. I’m positive SOMETHING will happen to keep us from reaching our potential again. Whether it be bad refs, injuries, crappy play calls, or players just giving up. The football gods definitely love screwing with the hogs. We had a killer offense in 2022 but our defense couldn’t stop Joe Biden. Then last year our defense actually kept us in most of those losses but our offense took 100 steps back. Who knows what we’ll look like this year. But history shows it won’t be good

Basically Petrino was brought in to show Pittman what to do. Same as what Barry Odom was doing while he was here. Yet Sam Pittman is the one who is the head coach and making $6+ a year. Pittman has no business being in charge of running a program. Only dysfunctional Arkansas hires a career o-line coach for the head coaching position.

It makes perfect sense with Pittman being the head coach an Petrino his coordinator. Pittman keeps all the stress off Petrino an orchestrate this an recruit. Win the families over keeps the players loving him. Just a couple years ago y’all was in love with Pittman.

I'm still on board with Sam. I had a chance to meet the man at an event not long ago and he just has a homey charm that makes you like and trust him. I think that's a critical trait for recruiting. Not just players but critically, parents of players trust Sam has their best interest at heart and not just use them but take care of and look out for them. Recruiting is the only way the Hogs can get back to consistent winning. Sam knows that, that's why he's hired proven recruiters all over the staff. The on-field results from last year have definitely made it tougher on them but just look at the '25 LB from GA that just committed, 🔮 gave 1% to UA and when they asked him why he chose the hogs he talked about his relationship w/T-Will and his mom's relationship w/Sam. I still think Sam's approach is the only one that's going to work at Arkansas under the circumstances the last decade plus has landed us in. Some fans just don't have any vision. It's like a near sightedness that prevents them from looking back and remembering that first 10 win season in what feels like living memory that Sam gave us, or the future that he's trying to build. Enos was a mistake but let's not burn the house down, let's let him fix it.
