I don't think you realise how large, and clumsy they are then. Steadicams require a 35lb stand to sit the camera down on and balance. An easyrig is a much better and lighter option, (8-12lb vs 20-30lb for vest and arm) Also requires about 50 hours practice for footage to even turn out alright.

Two Questions, both for Brandon: 1: When shooting with the shoulder rig, why not attach a follow focus grip on so you can pull with one hand while still using both hands to hold the rig? 2: Why cheap out on something as important as the Easyrig? Johan runs a clean ship, and you pay for quality when it comes to film gear. We had one break on a feature, and the rental house gave us a spare, while Johan inspected that one, and repaired it, all for free, shipping included.

Is Linus a millionaire by now?
@mattw42118 жыл бұрын
Sandy Aego If you consider net worth, Yes. Easily. Disposable income alone, no, more than likely not. Net worth takes into consideration assets such as his company. The fact is he is able to hire 17 (I think) employees who are all very skilled, therefore earning more than minimum wage. My guess is an average of $60-70k per year. At that wage alone, he pays his employees about $1M a year, meaning his business is worth much much more. Also, he has become likely the most Intuitive youtuber in terms of business failsafes such as the float plane club, vessel, and all his other streams of incomes. All of which are not dependent on KZbin itself. So yes, linus is actually a corporate genius who has loads of value. While it's apparent that he doesn't spend his money on himself, he instead reinvests it into his business, which is smart. He has incredible financial reasoning, and will do very well in life. (He's not just gonna be like a bunch of youtube stars who only make money for a few years. He will likely be doing this the rest of his life.) So all in all, yes. He is easily a millionaire

@TheRedshift_8 жыл бұрын
If you want to see a review, just go to one of the many other tech youtubers. From my understanding it is because the 7700K is such a small improvement over the 6700K, that he probably wouldn't prioritise getting a review video out now the embargo is over. To be completely honest the 7700K is a disappointment, and it will be even more disappointing to me later on once they then sell it for $70-80 more than the 6700K. Intel is such a joke now.

The cables on the UE 900s suck, I bought a replacement pair for my Shure se215 and they only last maybe 3 months before breaking compared to the Shure cables that work for a good 10 months

please stop with the open mouthed shocked face thumbnails i greatly dislike them to the point that I wish to commit serious self harm everytime i see one
@day.brakeF18 жыл бұрын
im aware of this but they can make perfectly fine clickbait-y videos without having the "open mouthed shocked face" thing that only the worst youtube channels resort to

I hate it too, but look at the videos from the last month. A lot the videos with that annoying icon style are approaching and even surpassing 1 million views, where the ones before are staying around 300k - 500k. It works. Its annoying, but it works.

very good video. One question, it seems that there is no 1 do-all answer for the video camera stabilization, is there?

Nice commercial, Linus. Also, dont forget the cough medicine! BUT i have to say, i like how linus is caring to his employee's. Not many CEO's take RSI/ergonomic seriously for people who do a lot of PC/editing work.

Their rig makes my iPhone and sweatshirt that says "KZbinr" on it look like trash.
@gormygorm8 жыл бұрын
Good Job Linus, you just spoke about different type of tripods/camera mounts, and spoke about the stability of them, without showing footage of each device... Aside from that, good video!

there is as much puns as dollars wasted on this equipment

Quite a lot of the stuff in the video was given to them rather than them paying for it. That's the benefit of saying to a company that if you give us this product we will advertise it on our channel, as well as using it.
@TheNiters8 жыл бұрын
The video you just watched probably "paid" for most of that equipment through deals for product coverage ;)

This show is full of paid advertising & product placement

And that's okay. Honestly I don't mind. It shows a lot of the cool products that are out there, as well as what is used and needed to create a ton of professional videos on tech. This show is a very high quality show, and I'm loving it very much.

SkyKiller63 not really cuz u can.t trust them anymore

Then you obviously don't understand their stance on a lot of things. You should watch the WAN show. Sometimes they talk about that stuff. About how they don't review a product if they don't think it's all that good. And how they give their 100% honest opinion on the product. I mean listen to the sponsor spot about the chair at the end of this video. That was sarcastic as fuck. And all he did was read off of their website. Lol. Get to know them, get to know the review process. You'll know that they're trustworthy when it comes to tech.
