Why the lime on the plastic? Never done that before

it helps weight the plastic down and get the air out so wind don't lift it up

there are pros and cons to every method of silage storage I've never had to work with upright silos or harvestores I may not be the right person to comment but it seems there are lots of vacant silos out there so I'm kinda glad we never had them here
