Apparently, the shearer has a pattern or specific procedure that helps efficient shearing possible. Positioning the sheep keeps the wrestling to a minimum. 😅

3:02 did you guys make those white calf pens yourselves? That’s a niffy design to hold the cattle panel there with a rod, which it looks like it goes through a plastic loop?? That bull calf made a dramatic improvement. That’s a rewarding part of the job!!
@BeckmanBrothersDairyMore19 күн бұрын
@@Justangs we bought them from a local supplier who also raises calves all the way up to feeders. Donnie figured out how to bolt a loop of that plastic on the ends for the rebar.

Never a dull moment on the farm. Have the boys ever tried lifting a cow with the skid steer and a hip lifter thing. That clamps around there hips and helps lift evenly. I have been around a time or two when that was used. It gets pretty interesting when you get one stood up and she tries to walk away not realizing the thing is on her hips therefore sometimes pulling the skid steer along. We only used that as a last ditch effort.

Appreciate the videos, Ginny. It was nice to see that you stop filming to help Donnie flip the gates, even if Donnie wouldn't whistle🐦 while he worked.
