Thank you for making this video, there is something hypnotic in being able to watch your hands move while listening to the notes you play. I also appreciate you lengthening this and then changing the ending to give it emphasis on it's emotive qualities. I very much enjoyed this and subscribed because I am very much in awe of your talent and look forward to future music and videos from yourself. If I may make a suggestion. There is a group from England, called the Art of noise. Very eclectic, they feature a lot of piano in many of their pieces. It's often much to short and the beauty of the pieces they create when they weave them into their music is something you may find of interest. Again thank you for this. You have my best regards.

I've always been a hardass hard rock fan and love any pop/rock from 60s and 70s, but at 55 yrs. old, I really am beginning to enjoy this kind of piano music and classical compositions. Yeah, I'm just getting old and today's music is so horrible. This is lovely. I keep playing it repeatedly. This and Vladimir's Blues. Similar.

Because our population has become dumbed-down so much so that the millennials and others will constantly purchase the crap they put out like candy. In the end, It's always about the money. Music today is not even music, and that is just the awful truth. I cannot listen to it. It's unwarm.
@PavelDGromnic4 жыл бұрын
Well,. maybe some people are just not drawn to the Truman Show so they don't investigate.. I think they should listen to what Glass has to say about his work, and the creative process. Which they, fortunately, can do here by listening to the many documentaries and autobiographical sketches presented. Any day I can hear his music is a good day. My wife can berate me for being stupid, my son can patronise me, my employers can continue to run me into the ground, the Nazis of the world can proceed on their merry way to hell,victimizing us. Glass wipes it all away.

Im pretty shocked everybody in the comments praises the 21st century guy for writing this song but it is in fact over 200 years old! Ludwig van Beethoven deserves all the credits, Moonlight Sonata !
@JackieLanceTenor5 ай бұрын
The only thing that is really all that similar in this piece to Moonlight Sonata is the arpeggiation in the left hand. Nothing is truly new in music anyway. Every possible chord progression has been used at some point by someone, so there will always be similarities from one piece to another. Yet, Philip Glass' composition is still unique, beautiful, and should be praised as such.
