I think the issue is that there's two bass lines overlapped on the recorded version so I would be pretty hard to play without overlapping them in the video too

Yeah it is. But the only different that makes in this case is the low Eb. It is always used as a quick pick up note and does not ever ring for long. So the fact that he is playing E instead of Eb is not that apparent.

I thoughy about this of course, and i decided to keep the standar after hearing carefully in slow mo the open string passages, and noticing is actually E. I reassured that when i saw a bunch of live videos

still, I don't feel the low E sounds right at all. so used to playing it in E flat tuning and hearing the lowest note as E flat.. to me it just sounds sharp. the recorded version is 100% recorded in Eb tuning

CoverSolutions it is E standard. I completely agree. I have seen notation suggesting tuning 4 E as D# leaving the rest standard. Or tuning down all strings half a step. All incorrect IMHO. If you play with the recording, its clearly E standard.
