BECOME A PATRON TO GET SONGS/TABS: www.patreon.com/coversolutions Really fun song. Bass action (distance between strings and bridge) should be lowered if you want a more accurate Flea sound. I did my own version, lowering it just a bit (usually is more) and playing quite hard. Flea plays hard also but some of the job is made by the lowered action. At the end you get a snappy, aggressive sound, specially on choruses. Many things to notice but with some practice you'll get it. Let me know if you have any question, i answer them all. Song is in G Natural Minor. Most of the harmony is implied by the bass actually. I notated the chords that generate from guitar fills and bass, for example on the choruses the guitar only plays a Gm7 chord all the time and bass changes, same process occurs on some other parts, did my best to cover those aspects: G Natural Minor (Relative to Bb Major) (With Bb Eb) i Gm (G Bb D) or Gm7 (G Bb D F) or with the bass on D (Gm7/D) or bass on Bb (Gm7/Bb) ii° Adim (A C Eb) III Bb (Bb D F) iv Cm (C Eb G) or suspended witha minor 7th C7sus (C F G Bb) v Dm (D F A) VI Eb (Eb G Bb) or with an added 9th Ebadd9 (Eb G Bb F) VII F (F A C) Bridge modulated into what could be though as A Minor or A Dorian. I'd go with the second so that way the real modulation occurs between the past G Minor to G Major (root scale for A Dorian)

I’ve been practicing bass for a few years now. Never took it serious but I’m retired so I’m putting in some time. I’m having issues with keeping time. I like to play metal and the 16th notes are hard for me to be consistent at. This video did help with some structure as to the time signatures I was paying attention to your playing when there was the one then two 8th notes lumped together. I have metronomes all over the place on my phone and computer and will start using one for training. I have been a sub on your channel for about 6 months and always enjoy your covers but this one caught my attention. Thanks
