I've been eyeing this machine for about a year. One of the most informative videos on this machine thus far. Thanks so much! I want it mainly for swimsuits. And now for everything else. 😊

Awesome!!!! It does a lot more than I initially thought! Coincidentally, I just picked up that Craftsy class on swimsuit sewing during the $10 Memorial Day sale! Maybe that will be a future video - appreciate the nice feedback!

I believe the diagram on the front right of machine is to select between heavyweight and lightweight fabric-not knit or woven as stated in the video. The manual directs the change in the differential feed dial to adjust for stretch factor.

Hey Jen! My daughter and I tie-dyed some T-shirts. My daughter was so excited about how they turned out, after we washed and dried them she put one on. Well, new puppy who likes to romp and play snagged the stitches on her new t-shirt. So now I’m dusting off my coverstitcher and I need the refresher🤭. I’m so glad I splurged and bought this machine! Hope you are doing well. 🧵

Another cool thing about that needle threader is that you can put your needle in the other end and use it to insert the needle into the machine. There is a flat side that fits the needle. That way you don't have to worry about dropping the needle down into the machine.

I've heard that before but haven't really needed it yet... :-)

Unfortunately, I get lots of skipped stitches. I have been on multiple websites to help with this problem. On my practice, it never skips, but on an actual project, I get at least 1 skipped stitch. You give a fews more ideas to try and help with this, so I will try again. This is such a nice, durable heavy machine and I want it to work. When making children's clothes, it is an asset to have.

I also made myself a nice top and used the machine to top stitch around the collar as well as hem the body and sleeves. I love this machine so much! There is a chain stitch on coverstitch machines that can be used as a "regular seam" and it's a durable one, so good for items where you want extra reinforcement.

What is the benefit of using the wooly thread in looper. I'm purchasing this model. I have never used a cover stitch machine.
@armilton013 жыл бұрын
Let me see if I can explain it... Using wooly nylon allows more stretch in your garment as it's a textured thread. If you look closely at it, it reminds you of yarn-like fibers. It's used a lot with knit fabric (jersey fabric, poly spandex fabric, Lycra fabric, etc.). It's also used in your loppers on serger machines. It's can be challenging to thread sometimes but you'll love the results!

@SewingReport6 жыл бұрын
It sounds like you might have some tension issues or maybe using the wrong needle size - depending on how thick your thread is. I've never sewn on a Necchi, but I would do this on scrap fabric and keep playing with different settings. It would be difficult for me to give a recommendation because it will be unique for every situation. If you're using a twin needle, I have not had great luck with those myself.
@giuseppalaezza30766 жыл бұрын
Sewing Report i Tried any Kind of adjustment ,needle, And thread. I Came To The conclusion that a domestic Cover stich machine of 300dollar Cannot sew properly on a thick layer such as rubber elastic plus 2layers of lycra. Im sad
@denise620076 жыл бұрын
Giuseppa Laezza You probably have sorted it out, but when going near the thicker part I raise the presser foot and put a small piece of folded fabric behind the needles, so that the presser foot is at the same level of the thicker part and I sew very slowly to avoid breaking threads or skipping stitches..
