There are plenty of incentives to play mono-red in Standard, at least on Arena. The deck is cheap to craft and plays fast games. Is it fun for the red-decker or their opponents? Probably not, or partially. But blame Arena's economy for that.

Tajic is my go-to Brawl commander when I need a win. I think it's more important to build and mulligan for mana ramp. Getting him out on turn 3 has really been my biggest hinge to -Winning on the Draw-. Can't wait to see a Tajic video :D Feeling inspired to play a match now...

Important notice for Ghostfire Slice: It does not need to target a multicolored permanent to get the cost reduction. Your opponent just has to control a multicolored permanent. It's more flexible than you think and never underestimate aiming it for direct damage instead of saving it for removal. 4 damage to face is a lot out of nowhere, especially for 1 mana

Well, it looks better than my version of the deck (40 mountains and 60 deal 2/3/4/5/X damage to target creature) It was a budget deck (only commons and uncommons) but it worked pretty well (I'd say 35% win rate)

CGB was complaining about playing red in the Krenko video, but the problem was that his red deck just wasn't cracked like monkayyy. Notice how CGB is no longer complaining about playing red in this video. It's over. We've lost him. He's a mono red player now. He just doesn't know it yet. I kid, I kid. Personally, as a 5C mage, I will play anything, but my favorite archetype is combo, storm in particular. Also, you can blame the terrible economy on Arena for all the mono red players.
