If Invoke Despair gets banned, maybe 5cc Sheoldred can see some Standard play. She is really good, and absolutely nasty as a commander. Another example of a sweet card that you can't play in Standard without knowingly making your deck worse because of Invoke. BAN INVOKE! BAN BAN BAN BAN!

Been playing her in a shell with Jace and Founding for the past few weeks and have to say she's pretty fun in standard. Hoping an invoke ban makes that kind of deck closer to a competitive list.

It's hard for me to believe there are intelligent people that don't understand. People don't play brawl. It is about 2-3% of the Arena population. Is that what you would make videos about if you were in CGBs shoes?

normally i'd agree, but i think that with a deck that's as much board wipe + removal tribal as this one, i'd stick it out too, or else feel like a failure as a deck builder. ngl though, the chances were still pretty slim. there's still lands in there, and not much can deal with that ulamog.

Well CGB, you talked me into it: I’m a Historic Brawl guy now. I started playing MTG a year ago and have been hesitant on HB because I don’t have any spells/ramp from old sets. And as a F2P player, I don’t have a lot of wildcards to craft the decks I might like. But anything has to be better than Standard right now. 1 year in and a lot of the love I had for MTG has been killed by the format. Hoping HB will be the thing to pull me back in.

Thats how i was when i started a couple yrs ago. Did standard and got annoyed of Angela and red aggro. Did historic that was fun. Than went into Historic Brawl and have stopped since! Much funner. More plays. Combos. Etc once you have wild cards youll be set 90% of decks. Since majority of decks use the same 70 cards. Lands is what costs the most

I have a deck I call mono black saga control that runs this sheoldred and I went up against a mono blue Hati Jin kraken abuser and I pulled two Hati jins and a kraken out of his graveyard and sheoldred flipped back over and I had the 4 mana sheoldred in hand about to play it and opponent conceded. I was at 6 life and he was still at 20.
