15:50 I'm not sure why players haven't traded out Snakeskin Veils for Tamiyo's Safekeeping yet. Both give hexproof for G at instant speed, but instead of a +1/+1 counter, you get indestructible and life gain. Your best creature can survive Doomskar, Blood on the Snow, and any targeted removal.
@silasfox50752 жыл бұрын
Tamiyo is 'permanent' not 'creature'. So your man-land or binding or creature can be protected... a player uses a field of ruin, boom, Tamiyo. Downside is no +1/+1, but its not much of one
@sirhamalot86512 жыл бұрын
@@oscarguzman3017 Yeah, it doesn't dodge all removal, but it does dodge more than Snakeskin Veil does. It's just a strict upgrade (other than a modified creature deck or something specific).

I ran almost the same deck idea for a quiet a while some time ago, just with 3 Professor Onyx instead of the Lolths, 4 Tergrids and 2 Mirror Boxes along with a lot more discard/sacrifice in the early game (Inscription, etc.). The constant mass removal keeps you safe for long enough so that your opponent runs out of steam and you start to push him even more with those Invoke Despairs. Mirror Box allows you to put multiple Meathooks on the board, which really helps you getting back to a healthy state after "surviving" the early game. It's really a race against time when playing against decks of that type and they typically eat other control decks up as if they were a snack before breakfast. Aggro decks on the other hand can really fuck you up if the deck shuffler thinks you've already meathooked enough creatures for the day. I might use that deck again in the near future, but I've rebuilt it to a historic deck lately. Still awesome, I'm currently at a 85% win ratio and the losses were mostly due to me being greedy enough to keep a hand with no more than 2 lands in it.

Yeah I agree, the Professor puts your opponent on a 4 turn clock, is hard to remove, and has ended up being my win condition on multiple occasions vs. control decks. CGB makes some great decks but I like Sonio's mono black builds a little better. CGBs spidey-sense for knowing what the opponents are going to play is top notch though, and has helped me with my play immensely.

Can someone pls explain hoy a -3 Hook kills 5/5 and 6/6 spirits?!
@agoodhumoredwalrus26262 жыл бұрын
It’s because the power/toughness of the spirits are dependent on how many spirits. So when he had swung in combat, 2 spirits took 2 damage, so were then 5/3’s. When he hooked, the 2 5/3 spirits died which would make the other 5/5 spirits 3/3, and since they all had -3 they then died as well. Hope that made sense, I’m not sure I’m the best at explaining 😅

I have always had Magic in mind and I have always wanted to learn to play it. I remember when in high school one of my friends brought cards to school and I was delighted with the extensive mechanics of the card game. After many years, I decided to join Magic and finally learn to play and get a taste of the atmosphere, although it turned out that the community in this game is totally fucked up, in no other game I have not noticed such merciless abuse of new players. Well as a new player I try to do 15 wins daily tasks with very little card collection, so I go into unranked BO1 standard matches and find out that all the motherfuckers are sitting there and farm gold there. After checking the meta decks on one of the pages with the magician, it turns out that every third my opponent played with a full completed meta deck, like a soft cunt sitting on unranked battles instead of doing it at events, ranked games. This is so obvious in other games, such as hearthstone, gwent, or just any other game, that players with a larger collection of cards do not enter unranked matches to harass weaker players in an unequal fight, but to do it with an equal opponent. Due to the players' mentality in this game, I don't see my future in this game, it's a pity, because magic turned out to be a nice game and finally I had the opportunity to try it, but for God's sake this community is pussies. I do not recommend this game due to the broken mentality of the gaming community 👎

@@rafaelramos1408 after what I saw and experienced here, I have reason to think that this is a group of losers who in other card games have not achieved anything and here they can finally outrun others. And showing new players how amazing he is, the god of the game. The problem that is visible in the magic is that gold can be obtained for ranked matches, so a noob who sits a year in the rank of silver, gold and who cannot get to his dream platinum has the opportunity to demonstrate his mind power. I don't know what kind of people it makes fun of, and you can see that there are so many in this game. for me this game has been deleted from my list of interests I wish this community to grow up as soon as possible
