I hope the symptoms are bearable with you and your family. The hospitals can't do much for you unless you were dying. Best advice one can give is lots of rest and treat everyone in the family with a daily blast of vitamin D (about 5000iu) and about 50mg of Zinc. Along with that, blend yourself a concoction of lemon juice, lemon zest, ginger and garlic. Two heaped teaspoons of the concoction in a teacup and add boiling water. Stir in some honey if you've got some cough and that should soothe the itch in the back of the throat. Take every four hours and don't forget your antipyretics (paracetamol, aspirin or ibuprofen) to manage the chills and fever. It's what myself and the wife did to get through when we contracted the virus. Not guaranteeing that it would work for you but I can testify that it's got quite a few people I know, the necessary relief to carry on with daily life. Take care and good luck.

Yes and I think that is why a vaccine is such a good idea (with the caveat of adequate testing, which it sounds like the Pfizer one has, but I wonder about the Moderna one). By the time you realize you have COVID, you have already spread it...

My symptoms were very much different for the most part. I had a little cough for two days and a bit of a scratchy throat. I also had a massive headache for two days and extreme fatigue. At that point I was refused a Covid test because I did not have ‘normal’ symptoms. My other symptoms started late on day 2 and continued for 4 days. Burning body aches. Pain in my arms, legs, feet and back. Neck ached and cause a minor headache at the base of my head. Also a fever of 102 degrees, steadily for all 4 days. I could not eat because the pain made me nauseous and it was really too much effort. In actuality, it was like going through chemotherapy again. I almost called for medical help twice, but decided against it. It was so bad my son in KS was packing to come to Florida. Then after day 4, it was gone. I still was fatigued but I could get up, sleep, and eat a little. On day 8, I was very much better and my doctor was still trying to get my county to give me a test. It was decided since I was better it wasn’t necessary. The antibodies test was how we determined it was Covid.

I had Covid about a month ago. I never lost my sense of taste or smell but everything I ate tasted bitter so I barely ate anything except fruits, veggies and tea for 2 weeks. Definitely had severe headaches, fatigue, and high fevers. My roommate who also tested Positive had some unusual symptoms besides the common one. He did have cold feet, sore wrist, and hair loss for 3 weeks. We are doing better now. Thanks for posting 🙏 Stay safe!

Yes, glad you came through it without serious effects. I’m senior in U.K. who’s convinced he had it one year ago before it was officially over here. I had fever, persistent dry cough that had me aching and sleepless, and the loss of taste/smell resulting in nausea that had my doctor at a loss to find a cause. The fatigue was awful: I could barely drag myself upstairs . If I did have c19 I put my survival down to my general fitness which didn’t return for at least 12 weeks.

I'd like to speak on behalf of a fully vaccinated 39 year old male who currently has it in September of 2021. I'm convinced my wife and all three of my kids had it before I contracted it, but their symptoms were mild and short-lived, including my T1 diabetic 8 year old daughter. My first symptom was a mild sinus irritant that felt very similar to the beginnings of a common cold. Day 2 my sinus area and throat were infected. Day 3 I was surprised to feel a lot better. Day 4 I woke up still feeling well but as the day went on my sinus area felt like it did on day two. Day 5 I woke up feeling like I was battling a bad head cold and I was sneezing a lot. I took a nap in the afternoon and woke up feeling like I had the flu, complete with body aches and lethargy. Day 6 I woke up feeling good other than my ongoing sinus issue, so I did some yard work. Lunch didn't seem appealing and I could tell I was starting to lose my sense of smell and taste. I took a nap on the couch and when I woke up I again felt like I had the flu but twice a bad as the previous day with a fever of 101+ degrees...which brings me to day. I woke up with my nose running like a faucet and I'm completely congested. I'm a bit dizzy when I walk and I can now feel some pressure on my chest. I'm sooooo ready for this to be over with, but I'm just thankful the rest of the family didn't experience the gamut of symptoms I'm experiencing. I wish I could experiencing an alternative universe what I would've experienced if I hadn't been fully vaccinated with the Pfizer shot. Would I be in the hospital right now on a respirator or would I be experiencing the exact same symptoms? I'm curious because I'm experiencing just about everything any normal, healthy 39 year old unvaccinated male would typically experience - expect perhaps it's the Delta variant I have but the data doesn't necessarily conclude (as of right now) that it's more deadly than the other variants.

Slept most of the day, after waking up fever had arrived (100.5). Loss of appetite. Slept another 12hrs. Day 3: Tested positive. Fever and mild nausea comes and goes in waves. Head ache is gone. Developing a mild occasional cough. No loss of taste / smell yet. Praying my symptoms remain mild...still have several days ahead that im sure will be unpleasant at best. Excessive belching with diarrhea for 3 weeks, then full blown high fever and severe flu like symptoms. Night sweats for six weeks where my bed clothes were absolutely soaked every night, and waking up 3 - 4 times in the night gasping 😲 for air. 18 months later still suffering with stomach pains, chronic fatigue and acid reflux that just won't go away. It's true what people say we take our health for granted, and you end up wanting to cave your skull in through frustration... 😞

While this helpful and well intended. If these are your symptoms, you are suffering mild/modest symptoms. I started having symptoms the first week in March (thanks to a friend that went to NYC in February for her birthday party with friends). I don't want people to think your mild symptoms are typical; they are not. It took me nearly three months to "recover". In June I had three brain MRIs to confirm those intense headaches that came with COVID were in fact mild strokes. I have also suffered heart damage and still struggle with the simplest of tasks. Worse yet is the ongoing "brain fog" that many others report. In all I am very lucky to be alive because I am 65 years old, diabetic and Hispanic; all those worked against me.

I want to add to my comments that the loss of taste and smell vary greatly. For me, it seemed that NOTHING tasted right. Plus I simply could not eat. I was so very very fortunate to have my personal doctor living across the street, my wonderful son and his wife and my neighbors John and Maria checking on me twice each day for weeks and weeks and bringing me food and basics (like TP). I KNEW that I was finally on the mend when the SONIC Burger my son got me tasted AMAZING!

My Brother who is 70 had symptoms and felt fatigued got tested. It was positive. He drove to his beach house so hopefully his wife won’t get it. She tested negative. He’s been walking 5 to 7 miles in the sun daily on the beach. He sends videos and no one else is there. He said he feels pretty good. Just mild cold symptoms. He test his oxygen levels regularly and they’re always good.

Day 1-2: horrible body aches, like I was in an accident. Slight headache. No appetite. Day 3-4: felt ok, worked both days, didn’t feel good or bad. No appetite and diarrhea started (this continued for 2 weeks, lost 18lbs). Night 4: relentless chills. Had 3 thick blankets and heating pad, teeth still chattering. Day 5: started fine, felt ok, worked until noon when a wave of fatigue hit, couldn’t keep my eyes open. Slight cough. Day 6: fatigue, slept most of the day. Went to bathroom in the middle of the night and got so lightheaded that I had to lay on the bathroom floor with my feet up for 5 minutes. First clue something was wrong. Day 7: felt ok, but still very lightheaded and had to lay with my feet up for a bit before I could head downstairs in the morning. Second clue. Didn’t feel too bad, just general blah. Slept on the couch that night since it was more comfortable for some reason. Day 8: woke up feeling good, like this thing was on its way out. Felt normal. Later in the day, started feeling blah, but no specific symptoms to mention. Day 9: woke at 4am feeling like my entire midsection was turning to concrete, hard time taking full breaths. I have sleep apnea, a few times I dozed off, I awoke with a blunt start…normally I don’t wake up during the night. I knew if I fell asleep again, I might not wake up. Went to the ER. Immediately put me on oxygen, O2 sat in high 80's (though our sensor at home had said 93-94 all week), X-ray tech said, “these lungs are junk”. They admitted me to the hospital with hypoxia and Covid pneumonia. Was in for 8 days. I never really had much of a cough or trouble breathing…until I did. As soon as I felt lightheaded, I should have gone to the ER since it seemed an indication that I wasn’t getting enough oxygen in my blood, despite breathing fine. Another symptom no one mentions is this complete apathy toward life. My husband experienced it, too; the hospital nurse said a few Covid patients on my floor mentioned it. We had no desire to look at social media, our iPads, the news, TV, read, eat…we literally could have sat and stared at the fireplace for days like a zombie. Some interest has returned, but still none in the news or social media (and we were junkies of both). Also, after the hospital, had about a week of awful nasal drip non-stop (week 3). I had wonderful doctors and nurses and I’ve been home for 2 weeks feeling fine. Walking on treadmill, riding my stationary bike. They treated me with Remdesivir, an anti-viral, and steroids. I pray that other issues don’t come about from the virus or the treatment. This is a nasty and sneaky virus.

I got Covid in April about the same time as Chris Cuomo. I was 57 at that time and thought it was going to be rough but I had mild symptoms. Days 1-6 were sore throat, fever, tired, aches, headache, runny nose, cough. Days 7-10 at night was an effort to breath. I did not lose my sense of smell, but it was altered. I thought my house was on fire because I smelled fire but it was just my cat. He smelled like fire to me. Food smelled off, meat particularly made me gag when I smelled it. Went back to normal in 3 months. The 1st time I told someone in public I had Covid was 2+ months afterwards at a local store. One guy said "Stay away, I have cancer, I'm at risk" and others ran away. One guy with a MAGA hat said "See, it is just the common cold, no one dies". At that point I stopped telling people. I was lucky. Not everyone is. People die from this all the time. My daughter lives with me and was born with a congenital heart condition that was fixed at age 1 but has to have a value replacement now at 25. She is at risk. I had to be in my back room for 3 weeks and spray everything with water / bleach mixture so she did not get it. BTW...water / bleach corrodes doorknobs and sink fixtures. I found that out. Also...she never got it.

When my sense of smell was affected, I kept saying that same thing. Everything had a “Smokey” aspect. Sometimes it was like burning dust on old heating coils and sometimes it was like when a pot boils over on a stovetop. When all this started happening, I knew I was positive for Covid-19. Never heard of any other common illness that affects people like that so it was a tell.

Yes, if you have a mild case. But aside from the respiratory problems we can monitor, there are some things we cannot see--the virus coagulates the blood, which can result in blood clots and dangers to the cardiovascular system and brain. My Uncle stayed at home as long as he could, and then the respiratory effects became dangerous enough to warrant the hospital. He spent three weeks there on oxygen, possible intubation...this was before they let some families see their loved ones in hospital, so there is much to imagine and endless grief. He lost his fight. He has never lost a fight in his whole life. Turns out my aunt ended up having a mild case of the virus at the same time he did, and she has an autoimmune disease , is more fragile. I was shocked that she came out on the other side of it fine and my uncle, a Navy man & firefighter, died from Covid in April. There are mild cases, and there are cases that require hospitalization. Taking temperatures before taking tylenol is important. It is a good clear indicator whether a patient trying to recover at home needs to relocate to the emergency room. If the fever is too high, it is telltale sign to go. The body is struggling too much to fight the infection, and very high fevers can leaf to brain damage & death. Since I have lost family to Covid, if I catch it I'm going to the hospital. My uncle's death destroyed the family and the last thing I want is to pass it on and be the person who ends up getting through it okay, while my partner, or my parents don't make it. I do not get flu shots each year but I WILL take the vaccine. This has to end somehow. I'm scared, but my family now is completely isolated from one another until Covid is gone. I don't want to lose years to this and never see my loved ones again. Sorry for the ramble, but I was just responding to recovery from home. It works for mild cases and family must be totally isolated away from the Covid Positive patient and that requires being super vigilant. The other point I had was again monitoring the situation by thermometer and Tylenol should absolutely be used, but take temps between doses to ensure the fever isn't exceedingly high--if it is, the body is struggling to fight the disease and again if it's exceedingly high, the body isn't winning the fight and might need a lot of extra help at a hospital.

My symptoms day one was a stream of mucus running down from my upper respiratory track draining down into my throat. Next morning I woke up with palpitations and very breathless. I barely made it to the toilet. I forced myself to boil some herbs and as these came to a boil I noticed that the vapour (NOT STEAM), gave me some relief. (I had just mild throat irritation, no headaches, thank God!) I drank the concoction, rubbed black seed oil mixed with eucalyptus and clove oil and started doing breathing exercises as I forced myself to cough out the phlegm. The palpitations receded and I felt sleepy so I slept for about 45minutes to an hour and woke up gasping for breath. I started the whole cycle all over again. For the next 5-7 days this was my life. I made sure I did physical movements to get my circulation going in addition to using essential oils to help with this. I made a pot of lentil soup with a good amount of garlic, ginger, Cayenne pepper, tumeric, black pepper. I chewed dried chamomile mixed with black seeds to break up mucus. I got the secondary infection, I could tell because I started to cough up yellow phlegm.. I used Tea Tree oil, clove oil, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil in a carrier oil to rub on my back and chest. I also inhaled these oils during my deep breathing exercises. The yellow in the phlegm cleared after a few days, I can't remember how many days. By day 9 I thought I was over the worst of it. Day 10 it was back except for the secondary infection. I continued with the therapies through out. I was more or less clear by day 14. This was in July. I still continue with the black seed oil and chewing the dry black seeds and chamomile also a few drops of the black seed oil. Covid is brutal, its no joke, I prayed throughout!!!

My wife's sense of taste and smell went for about 6 weeks afterher infection. Now and again she will smell smoke even though there is none. It seems that women tend to lose their sense of smell and taste more than men from what I have heard. I never lost my sense of taste or smell but my symptoms lasted around 18 days and by day 14 my breathing became worse. Paramedics had to come round to check my oxygen levels as they were worried that the may have fallen. I started to recover after that. But it was scary, don't want to go through that again.

Right elbow hurts a lot, light chest congestion, fatigue, body aches. First day the glands under jaw bone was very sore for 5 days. My throat was fine no irritation but the glands caused the throat pain when moving my head and swallowing. Currently on my seventh day throat glands don't hurt but fatigue and body aches. Charlie horse this morning... Good luck everyone... If you feel sick stay home. A family member came to my house feeling sick. She infected 3 or more house holds.

We live in Montana, my husband tested positive for Covid about 3 weeks ago, around the same time you did. Luckily he is recovering, because he has had 2 heart attacks, has 2 aneurysms and is pre-diabetic. He is 61 years old. He never lost his smell or taste but had numerous headaches, chills and hot flashes/sweating and extreme exhaustion and weakness. Now he is just dealing with some lingering tiredness and muscle aches. I took care of him and have been around him at all times since even before his symptoms showed up. I have tested negative for Covid - TWICE!! I can't believe I was spared from getting Covid, especially since I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and other autoimmune issues. Happy to hear that you are getting better! EVERYONE'S symptoms are different with this darn virus - so weird! P.S. I have RH Negative blood type and have read some interesting articles about people with this blood type having some kind of protection from Covid - maybe that is why I didn't get Coronavirus?!

I spent most of day 1 trying to get tested in Urgent Care, my own doctor's office, and lastly, Walgreens. I couldn't get in and Walgreens did not have any testing supplies. I finally got up on Day 2 of having fever, chills, congestion, and cough to stand in line at an urgent care clinic by 6:30 a.m. along with a parking lot filled with 15 other patients waiting for doors to open at 7:00 p.m. Your video has greatly helped me so thanks. In addition to all the symptoms you mentioned, the weirdest symptom for me was also my right leg and hip began to hurt, ache, like I have fallen on it.
