COVID-19 Lockdown | Khoisan group camping at Union Buildings

Members of the Khoisan group who have been camping at the Union Buildings since December 2018 are still there. They've vowed to continue their protest despite the nationwide lockdown.

The khoi and san people are Bantu people and still exist to this day. Their language is similar to most southern african Languages . Most mixed race people have Jumped on the bandwagon of being khoisan hoping to full the govt into giving them land.

@@mimshack7278 the Bantu and the khoisan are not the same people. The Bantus migrated South from West Africa-Central Africa. The Khoisan are the original inhabitants of the South of Africa spanning from Botswana down to South Africa. The Bantu migration started about 3000 years ago into South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia etc. Their languages are totally different to the original inhabitants the Khoisan. And no, they are NOT COLORED in terms of the colonialist dialect.

If we wish to dig deeper though one can say the Bantu has a mixture of Khoisan like most Nations but the Khoisan have zero mixtures of the Bantu or other ethnicities as they are the original who expanded +- 500 000 years ago , their Y chromosome are unique and not mixed with Central Africa or Asia or the Aboriginal Australians etc yet we all have a percentage of their Y chromosomes.

I strongly recommend the following: 1) Since the Khoisan are looking to claim land (which I agree with), I suggest that they begin with Nkandla. Afterall, it is land of the South African government. 2) Furthermore, hundreds of homeless people can be easily accommodated at Nkandla! It's time that political figures (including former political figures) take some responsibility for the safety of their citizens! If foreign political figures can do it so can those of SA!
