Just wonderful. I'm glad I got to see it. She's so pleasing to the ear and the eyes beautiful. I'm 55 so it's old in time and new and fun . There are a lot less Diamonds on the Piano key's though . He was woundful too.

More than likely, it was a set up to bolster his image that he was straight. I can't believe a whole lot of people bought it, but he was so talented that everyone could pretend as long as he wasn't flamboyant about it.

Great performances by Ella Mae & liberace. I believe this might have been one of those occasions when a girl kissed him in public to dispel rumours he might have been gay. Times were different back then, but he never could admit it publicly.

I am going to guess how this video was done: if it really is 1954, it has to be film, maybe 35mm. The sound is magnetic, so it was double system. It is very impressive. This film is 11 years after the capitol record release. It was a Black label Capitol # 102. Recorded with a Presto disc recorder. The very first Capitol release was "The general Jumped at Dawn, #101. Very big hit. I'm guessing.

Do you see a microphone when they are talking before and after the song? Somebody has obviously inserted a studio track or done some "re-mastering" to the singing part. You do know that boom mics have existed since the 1930's? Look at any TV show, current or old, do you see a microphone?

Oh, YES, stereo back then. From about 1952 when folks began getting TV sets in homes in great numbers, Magnavox ran away with the BEST SPEAKERS in the world!!! And the best record players, hifi, they had it all. Until, so e years later, South Koreans took Magnavox EVERYTHING apart, analyzed, then made even better electronics. **But our music ROCKED, back in that day‼️🎵🎵‼️

I'm very curious how this audio came to have a quasi stereo sound during the musical part. There's no way the TV broadcast would have had that. Not that I'm aware of. But the synch is perfect, so it couldn't be a record playing along with the video. Or could it? Maybe just a sound effect added by the uploader or during the rebroadcast.
