Enjoyed your recipe. Cow heel is very rich in zinc, magnesium among others. Zinc is critical for a healthy prostate. The stickiness from cow heel is as a result of the collagen. And the body needs collagen. Very tasty. Looking forward to more recipes.

Thanks for sharing your Barbadian heritage. Have you ever visited Barbados? Connected with Bajan/CARICOM Diaspora in London? There are probably tens of thousands of them in London alone. Many ethnic shops, stores and restaurants. Inquire, explore, discover and enjoy!

You are complaining about being tired and still went and ate a heavy meal? Get a rest and then eat....better digestion and better quality of rest. If you eat any kind of meat (not least of all beef!!!), you will be working your body for the next 12 to 24 hours....

C. minute 3:50: I would absolutely protest about removing the skin here. We need to teach our people how to use WHOLE foods the way that God made them. Simply grate, slice, or dice ground foods, fruits, vegetables, etc., including all edible seeds and edible skins. So much more minerals, fibre, and other nutrients. You will feel fuller sooner (= eat less) and also feel satisfied longer (= eat less) = smaller portions, more saving, better health, and better yield and better value for money. Do not throw away anything that is good. At the absolute minimum, save all the scraps and feed the garden (food and fruits, not just flowers, please).

Cow foot soup is not Bajan, it’s Jamaican! And it’s disgusting!

It's Caribbean anyway!

Caribbean people have travelled so much and moved and interbred between islands so long that it is hard to speak of each island any more as if it were a one-people country. Even our former Prime Minister, Owen Arthur, had a Jamaican wife.....How many Bajans are in Jamaica? How many Jamaicans in Barbados? How many Guyanese in every island?

@@brentshuffler1234 Doesn’t negate the fact that cow foot soup still…is disgusting!

@@Arthu8 I can easily agree with you from the perspective of nutrition and wellness. Best to focus on whole foods and a plant-strong diet from local and organic sources all the way. E.g., fresh fruits and vegetables, pure herbs and spices, peas and beans, raw nuts and seeds, whole grains, and ground foods.
