To answer your question. I'd buy the cowboy (actually just pre-ordered one) Iv'e already got a bike with Gates carbon drive, its 5 years old and the belt is still as good as new, so Ill never go back to a chain drive. the other reason is the lack of gears, less to go wrong. The Van Moof is a fantastic bit of technology, but I think they will struggle with their gearbox, but I hope they can make it work, bikes are long overdue for this sort of innovation.

How is the c4? I'm the UK so motor assistance is capped at 15 mph. I'm worried that the speed caps off at 15

@@koldwolf you can jail break the bike, there are a couple of ways, I used the android app method. However this is a city/commuting bike, and in London you wont really notice the difference, mainly because the single gear is chosen to work within the speed parameters of the bike. Ive clocked 49kmphon hills, but my average is only a couple of km faster than before the jailbreak. Anyway, the bike is great, had it 6 months now, nothing has gone wrong, feels solid AF, feels expensive, and looks fantastic.

I’ve been looking at VanMoof s3 and Cowboy C4 since the C4 launched. VanMoof’s launch of the v5 recently should really have been a launch of an s4 in my opinion in order to keep up with Cowboy. Had they done so I may have ordered a Van Moof s4. But as it is, the Cowboy C4 is superior in my opinion and that’s where my money will go.

I would buy a Specialized Turbo Levo or Kenevo, but you can't compare this to a Van Moof :D

Specialized looks cool & they have their own Motor but I didn't rode eny yet... Van Moof has the same target customers, battery & form, concept + price is similar so it compares well 🙄 I guess...

Well noticed 👍- as I booked the test Ride they didn't had the c4 yet so I had to ride the c3 in order to get to know the Brand... Still nice.
