Carole and Tuesday is truly such a gem admist all of the mainstream shonen shows that are in the forefront lately. I have overshared this show to my friends while fearing that will make them not watch it. I just want them to watch this show so badly and hopefully will love it as much as I do. On another note, I read a critic article about this show about how it displays blaxploitation and puts the transgender characters in a misrepresented and disrespectful light, mostly because of Dahlia's character. It hurts to hear that because although I do understand how they could see that, I didn't see for who they were but rather the character developments themselves. I felt they were really trying to search for how this show was just pandering to almost every crowd and it's heartbreaking to think about that. I am more rather comforted and very pleased that they had so much diversity in this show, and I think this shouldn't only be coming from Watanabe's works, but from everyone else's as well. Thank you for sharing this piece.

Great video ! It's a pleasure to see someone speak with passion about Watanabe's work ! There is not enough videos about his creations and the team behind it ! I discover Cowboy Bebop at the age of 11 years old when it was airing on the french cable network : Game One. This anime had a huge impact on me because it was so different from the animes I used to watch. I'm a fan of Miyazaki works but if someone ask me which "anime author " influenced me the most I will respond Watanabe. There is so many things I dig about his universe : the music, the diversity, the characters... I can go on and on... But can I just say I adore the androgynous characters of the Watanabe's animes . Gren from Cowboy Bebop and Desmond from C&T are iconic ! Hope to see a video about the conexions (and easter eggs) between Watanabe's shows one day ! I'm sure it will blow my mind . And you win a new suscriber ! Greetings from France ! :) 🇫🇷 🐱
