I have the CB3200 and really like it. I seem to be having one problem, though. The flywheel is very tight and I can't turn it by hand very easily. I've watched several videos about using the CB3200 and all of them make it look extremely easy to turn the flywheel by hand. How do I adjust the tension so that the flywheel turns without having to use a "death grip" to make it move? Thanks for your time.

Chris, we test each leather sewing machine before delivery. If any "hard to turn flywheel", we will find it. You feel very tight, because of the speed reducer. This speed reducer increase the needle penetration force 6 time, so it is not easy to turn the flywheel.

You are the customer send picture to Ms. Jane? The problem should be caused by the thread tension. You need to adjust needle thread tension or bobbin thread tension, to reach the balance tension. Also the needle plate is not correct for your product.

+Magister Noah Model 5 is old version of Cowboy CB105, it is drop feed machine, the material feed by feed dog, if use smooth feed dog, the material cannot be feed positively. if you are to use no-teeth feed dog (avoid making on underside of leather), you have us use triple feed (compound feed and walking foot) leather sewing machines, Cowboy CB3200 and CB4500 standard supplied with this smooth feed dog.

CB3200 is economical leather sewing machine, the transportation cost to Zimbabwe will be much higher than the machine itself, so it will not be good deal. Tariq, no problem for sewing 15mm thick leather, buf if you run the sewing machine over 8 hours every day, you should consider stronger machine like CowBoy CB4500 or CB205-370.

For heavy weight saddlery leather, not difference betweeen these two machines. When sewing soft leather with very thick thread, 205-370 is better in thread tension and stitch quality.

You are missing the point. The market is flooded with cheap clones and good companies who originally made the king of leather machine such as Durkopp Adler 205-370. It's complained and clones brand which continue to put good quality machine off the market due to "being over priced." Lol I don't need a clone I only use quality German and USA made machines.

I personally show best respects to Durkopp Adler who is creating the best sewing technology in the world. But today the world is charging a lot. Some well known manufacturers such as Natuzzi (the high end Italian sofa manufacturer), Delta (the leading manufacturer of safety equipment), they consider Durkopp Adler sewing machine only, but now they are have a lot of our 204-370 and 205-370 machines in their factories in China and oversea factories. After 3-4 years of trial, they found no big difference between Durkopp Adler and Hightex.

I am not trying to sell you a machine, just for explaining the situation, we are not just copying Durkopp Adler machine, we keep creating things. You can see many new ideas from our website, that Durkopp Adler does not have. And in past 10 years, we keep improving our quality. Now the market is flooded with cheap clones, because the quality is not too bad.

It's still a clone.. I can't imagine the pets are hardened steel alike to Adlers standard and quality. I guess to each their own.

You are right, the steel quality is not as good as Adler genuine machine, but it is good enough. In past 15 years, we sold over 10,000 sets 204-370 and 205-370, have had machine broken completely. For wearing and tearing parts, ours are not as durable as Durkopp Adler genuine parts,but if take price into the consideration, our sewing machines have much higher better price/performance ratio.
