Cowboy is one of my favourite fighters of all time in the UFC. However i can't stop thinking about the McGregor fight. He knew this problem existed well before this Bout. Yet did not get the help he could have off the right people. The most frustrating thing is as he gets comfortable in the later rounds in fights he becomes more dangerous and his cardio is excellent. Now he is pretending he doesn't know Andrew Tate and looking for another big fight. His time has come and gone along with all of those opportunities. I have no doubt given the right approach from a mentality standpoint outcomes would have been different when it mattered most. In saying that his career has been very good and will be remembered as cannot be said for most mma fighters. He got to do what he loved which alot of us cannot say. However Cowboy knows the paydays could have been better with the performances he had given but due to the incident that happened and the ufc helping out he was in- debted to the ufc for the rest of his career. Overall a brilliant fighter who deserved more money from the company from being a company Man.

I don't think what Cowboy is saying about MMA applies solely to MMA. Most sports had 'the old days' where guys who weren't necessarily very fit or athletic, but had character and raw talent and grit, could make their way. But, increasingly, all sports are becoming more streamlined, more athletic, more professional. The original characters...the ones who would turn up on game day with no sleep from an all-night bender...are being squeezed out. You can't survive if you aren't an athlete and a professional. That's the least you need.
