Donald, oh Donald where do i even start. You got me into mma in 2015 after that headkick tko against John Makdessi and i’ve been a mma fan ever since. You are a legend and i just want to thank you.

I was fortunate enough to be sitting in the nose bleeds at the MGM Grand when that all went down. My fianceè and I had flown over from Australia (we'd married the week prior in the Valley of Fire) and for our honeymoon had planned on watching Jon vs DC (we all know how that went down 🥴) Anyway, after Andrei and Travis played rock em sock em robots we got to see the Cowboy KO John, then later Rumble drop DC on his butt. Thanks for the memories, Cowboy. It was quite the night 👌🙌🙏

😩😭 This got me so hard, wasn't ready for it. "He just needs to know that we're never going to throw him away". Cowboy became the man he is today because of that sentiment.

Your grandma is awesome man. Bet your grandpa was just as great.

Just lost my Grandmother this week, last living grandparent. Just went through the talks you did with your Grandfather. My daughter’s water broke, my son f***ed up his ankle & I was at the hospital when I got the call about Gram. That range of emotions is rough to deal with, especially when you need to keep it together for those around you. Enjoy your time with your Grandmother man. She seems like a special woman.

HUGE PROPS TO GRANDMA/GRANDPA we may never have had to enjoyment and adrenaline rushes of watching a savage like cowboy perform on the world's biggest stage AND SHINE. so many youngsters vear off the rails and nobody "saves" them. Donald was rescued from himself when he wasn't mature enough to be able to make correct decisions. U left a real one behind.

No matter how many times I hear this story, it never gets any easier. I feel every bit of emotion with cowboy telling it and having just lost my grandpa about 3 weeks ago, it resonates so much more! Donald is one hell of a human being, one hell of a man and I cherish each moment we spent together training, hanging out, playing ball, eating or whatever so much more now. Much love bro! Sending blessings to you and the fam!

Fuck man you can hear the pain and despair that grandma and cowboy feel. Lost my grandpa to cancer and my uncle died suddenly. Messed my whole life up. Gave me unimaginable stress and medical issues. Now im on meds to help my anxiety and depression. Nothing compares to losing a loved one. It hits hard. And to anybody out there who hasn't lost a loved one, when it happens PLEASE get help. Don't end up like me

My first introduction to cowboy was his Nate Diaz fight. It was 2017 and my friend was watching it on you tube and I couldn’t believe how tough fighters where shortly after that I started watching ufc full time.
@drakeslocum2564Ай бұрын
That’s the one thing I wish I had, the chance to ask my Grandpa those important questions. My pawpaw was born in 1928 and died in 2017, at 89 years old. I was 10 at the time, so I wasn’t smart enough at the time to even think about getting advice from him. Now, at 17, I wish I could just ask him about life, something he had so much experience in, especially since he fought in the Korean War.

Love hearing stories about your journey Cowboy!!! Hearing about your grandpa and seeing your grandma help tell the story showed me why you are the legend that you are.. legends create other legends to leave in their place.. I was also raised around the ww2 generation and they were the best teachers imaginable.. parents who were boomers just didn't get life and understand the way the previous generation did and many of us gen x'ers were raised by our grandparents and this is why we're different than the boomers and the generations after us
@shadogabbassio3785Ай бұрын
