I love seeing the natural carriage of the head and tail! Thank you for being more mindful of the horse's comfort!

This is a study of true good Old Style Western Riding. This is exactly what our Cowboy Ian Tyson is singing about for this freestyle. ALL Western riders should seek this type of rythmical, relaxed, connected, with impulsion, straight and softly collected riding style. Jeff Saunders is the King of Western Dressage here. :-)

Beautiful beyond words: harmonious partnership, style with grace, many hours of teaching with true understanding and heartfelt love of both horses and an ancient art. Thank you, Mr. Sanders

Horsey pole dancing! I love it! I've watched dressage all my life. Once I had my own horses, i couldn't watch it anymore. Watching this was far more entertaining. Horse and rider were very relaxed. If I had to guess, I think this horse enjoyed his time in the arena.

If I got a penny for every swishing tail in a "regular" dressage, free style or not, english, western, classical, in liberty, I would have got it made long since! - Jeff Sanders would be my ruin, LOL..... Kudos!

Wonderfulhorsemanship and such fun to watch the relaxed but disciplined partnership they have accomplished by finding strengths and building the routine to show the focus and the ability of both parnters enjoying the arena as if here was no judging but just them! Having fun for fun sake, riding to see if they could do!

This is what it's supposed to look like: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXrMcoCLrpWsb5o keep practicing, especially your lateral work in the canter. Stop dropping into the trot. Just dragging a pole behind the horse isn't art.

Interesting… Comparatively speaking, the horses are quite different. But looking a both horses the buckskin is far more relaxed, where as the bay is very rigid. (Personally am not keen on that level of contact.) Whoever cowboy dressage has an emphasis on lightness? So they’re my be a conflict of styles… or perhaps more of inspiration? Regardless both where lovely! And will continue to develop!

I would rather be Jeff's horse for sure. Your link takes me to a horse that looks stressed and over controlled. Jeff's horse is relaxed and happy.. true partnership

I think comparing an Iberian horse to a Quarter Horse is like comparing apples and bananas. Also, a lot of those Spanish and Portuguese horses are trained with lots of force and in serretas and are very nervous. It is better to look how the horse is doing something and not what he is doing…
@wspurhorsemanship228723 күн бұрын
You missed a very important distinction between the two horses. Jeff’s horse is in the hackamore still the bay is straight up in the bridle. There’s 4-5 years of training difference between the two horses. Jeff’s horse is still in the first stage of becoming a bridle horse. He has the two rein to go into before going into the bridle as well. So his horse is still in the beginning of training.
