There is something very, very special about Cowboy Jack and this, his version of "I Guess Things Happen That Way" shows it!! I really believe that he is telling me a true story to a tune that perfectly reflects his heart-felt emotion. I only wish I had found him years ago and watched him sing on stage out here in Australia.

+Lewis S Burleson. Cowboy Jack Clement, was a record producer at the Sun Label from 1955 to 1959. He was the one who engineered the sound, and wrote Ballad of a Teenage Queen using the melody from Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Later on he went on to Produce records at RCA in Nashville. He was an influential individual in the industry.

I don't know him well either but I came across him listening to Waylon. He (Jack Clement) produced one of Waylon's best albums, "Dreaming my dreams". He also does a great cover of the song "Dreaming my dreams with you"
