Time for a solo winter overnighter in the woods ! !
Hiked in a beautiful forest, gathered birch bark as natural tinder for fire making.
Set up a poncho shelter, in a configuration to have the fireplace just outside the shelter.
Made fire with firesteel.
Cooked tacos : tortillas, spicy sausages, onions, and parmigiano reggiano , AKA Parmesan cheese !
Learn how to make cowboy coffee hot bottle on a campfire :
Pour coffee grounds in water, boil it 5 minutes, then put the lid back on, and store in sleeping pad.
You'll be comfy warm and have a warm coffee by morning.
Fire was still going strong at dawn, and I had a little bit of rain as well ! !
It was a mind soothing bushcraft camping trip.

🤣 I made like 6 small size tacos that night. As you noted, I usually don't melt cheese. 🤤 Tortillas are handy around camp. Packable and easy to cook with.
