If I had a dollar for every cheap Tomahawk I have seen broken I would be very wealthy. A good one to get is any of the Cold steel brand. I have several and they have never broke. I did see one break a handle after many years of throwing but that's to be expected with any wood handle. Best part is you can carve and replace the handle yourself just like people have done with similar tools for thousands of years. Great video maybe you will wise up some people out there.

@ARAW-__- That's a fact, brother. I'm not surprised that Adam's broke, also. It's a ridiculous design. They did it this way to make manufacturing easier, I'm sure. 8-/ 👎👎

I bet an eyed hawk would have been tougher. Talking without experience here... But with convixtion nonetheless 🤣

@@ARAW-__- Hahaha... It's a sure bet! You'd better believe that the originals had an eye, just like a hammer head. 👍👍

Too large grains of the steel. It proofs poor quality of the tool. I also have negative experience of using products of SOG.

That shocked me, man ! How can they sell thst ? Using all that special forces feel, on top of that. And who thought a thin and short tang connecting a heavy head to a long handle, for a trowing hawk, would be a good idea ?

@@ARAW-__- About ten years ago I bought their SOGfary machete. As I tested it at dry spruse wood, it's cutting adge banded all along the tool. So I had to take cheap tramontina, because it performed much better.

@alexanderlaverko648 Can't believe they're still in business... I never bent my Tramontinas' edges, ever ! And they've seen lots of use ! Thanks for the cautionary tale, Alexander !

How can they even sell that ? They don't care about their brand or reputation ? My brother gifted me this hawk as he knew I wanted one for a longtime. We're pissed ! What's your opinion between CS Trailhawk and CRKT Wood chogan ?

@@ARAW-__- Go with anything that dont have screws on the top, i learn my lesson those things will break sooner or later, trailhawk but you will just need spare handles BUT easy to make DIY in the forest too i really like those from Rinadli with Carbon fibres handles, they are bit heavier but these will never break

@AdamCeladin Thanks Adam ! Knowledge and experience straight from the best 🙏 I think I will carve handles just for throwing, it'd be good practice !
