We're one day away from the 2024 NFL Draft. Let's look at what the evidence tells us that the Cowboys will likely do, but ALSO....
There are a few positions that aren't getting enough attention as potential premium picks for Dallas. We've gotta follow the Draft Commandments to know all the different possibilities.

We at least need Guyton( Last Resort for me) , Barton, JPJ, Morgan, Frazier to all be there at 24 and hope KC wants to move up and if so you net you a late 3rd and a 5th in return for 24 and us dropping to 32 and if JPJ or Barton are there or if not then you go Frazier and you run that card in. Then try to land you a later round Gem/steal in Christian Jones the LT out of Texas. He went against elite comp off the edges the last couple of years. Dallas Turner, Chris Braswell, Will Anderson, Will Mcdonald etc... kicked all their asses too. You just solidified 3/5 of your OL for the next Decade+. Jones, Smith, Barton/JPJ/Frazier, Martin, Steel/Richards. We will be a top 5 OL again. Unless LB Copper or Wilson are there at 56 you go Franchise RB in the 2nd either Benson or Brooks or Wright or Allen in 3rd. #2 Rec in 2nd or 3rd round Legette, Corley, Coleman, Polk, Worthy, Mcmillian, Tez Walker. Use that extra 3rd to go get you a DT to replace Hankins departure. Then fill the rest of our LB, CB, DL, OL depth with later picks.

This is a long term plan, not going after FA and spending money this year will provide Bill Belichick with a ton of extra draft picks next year when he becomes the next HC for the Cowboys.

I would do a trade back... then, BPA at either T or C, in second T or C again along with LB (maybe Wallace), and then third round RB with Wright. Switch rounds for the LB/RB if that's how the board is looking.

If one of the top 2 to 3 are there I want that pick. A mini wall in the middle is awesome. Pressure up the middle disrupts dak worse than anything and it helps the run game

Not a big Guyton fan but ive resigned myself to being content with any OL they select in round 1 because they’ve earned the benefit of the doubt on that. If i had my dream (at least somewhat realistic) pick at 24? … Probably Mims, but id also be thrilled with either one of JPJ or Barton.

Jeff, just a what if scenario to consider (not saying this will happen, but...): what if the Vikings uses picks 11 & 23 do move up to Washington's spot to get their QB... now armed with those two picks, what if Dan Quinn calls the Cowboys and says "I'll give you 11 and 23 for Parsons." I know Parsons is a generational talent, but when you play this with the news we've heard about there are people in the organization who have had their fill of Parsons, I wonder how much thought the team gives to that?!

To speak on the lack of interest. 5 years ago we used to be able to get 4 or 5 families together to watch every important cowboy game... We're talking a minimum of 20 people. Last season I couldn't get people together for a single game... And everyone said the same thing "as long as Prescott is here there's no point". The calls I got during the first half of that playoff game were brutal.

I don’t want to act like we are great at linebacker but am I the only who doesn’t see the urgency? Like yeah we could get better but a linebacker high does not do anything fora team that has no WR2/3, CB4 with CB1 coming off an ACL, EDGE3, and multiple O line starters. If you told me I had to start one of Chuma Edoga, Tolbert, Nahshon Wright, Hoffman/Bass, or Damone Clark then to me Damone Clark is by far the one I’d pick ideally and not even bc I think he’s great hurt because who cares about linebacker

This year I wouldn’t draft a guy like that in round 3 because we have holes at way more important positions with better players available than taking a guy who will just run and tackle running backs. I view LB and DT like OL and RB, I don’t think LBers matter if your tackles can’t take up blocks
