I love draft talk. Between you guys, The Draft Show and Voch I feel like I have a really good feel for the draft. You guys do a great job educating us on the player prospects, our needs and the needs of other teams. It’s a double edged sword though; not having a clue who half the guys they drafted are or being befuddled on why they took that guy or position before others on the board.

@@rashawnwalker9398 Oh I don't mind being challenged! Najee gets 1000 yards because he gets a ton of carries. He's had an entire career of inefficiency. Achane's yards per carry is down because their QB died for most of the season and he's still destroyed as a receiver, he's been great!

@ if you want a starting rb who averaged 8 yards a carry because he got just 100 Carries fine I guess he would have to be the secondary guy still need a actually rb who can accumulate Carries lol, Najee Harris basically average 4 yards a carry with a bad o line which you stated if he had a decent one he would be at 4.5 or something right ?. So Rico gets around that number and all of sudden you believe in him lol I understand the point your making and the nuance I agree with parts I just don’t think the logic is consistent that’s all . The best team in the NFL drafted a running back in the first round. Detroit had the 6th pick, moved back to 12 and drafted Gibbs. They landed Sam Laporta with the extra pick they acquired which was excellent value. Gibbs is the most explosive back in the NFL....fast-fast

The fastest way to turn this Dallas team around is to buy your pivotal defensive players through free agency. That means getting one of the best DT on the market, getting one of the best safeties on the market, and getting one of the better linebackers on the market. After that look for mid grade offensive players maybe a guard or a tackle, a veteran receiver, veteran tightend, veteran running back if you walk away from Rico. After that I would attack BPA in the draft and lean more towards offensive weapons meaning receivers, running backs, and pass rushers on defense.

Jeanty is actually pretty stout considering he’s only 5’9 and he’s way more powerful and explosive than Jones. He’s also a better pass catcher and his balance is unbelievable

I just saw him trade a 4th round pick for a guy that most likely was gunna get cut by seasons end. I think the lack of them spending almost any resource at all on the RB position in the last 5-7 years has put us in a position where we almost have to spend a 1st or 2nd rounder on one. If the kid is this special, you draft him when you can. As a team you have to evaluate the QBs, even if it's just to evaluate the talent to evaluate the trade compensation.

No problem with any team drafting a running back in the top 10 rounds.... With that being said they must be generational talent. If he breaks Barry Sanders record in college I will consider him generational talent. If he comes up short do not draft them in the first round

For me personally, I don’t see how you can justify drafting an RB in top 10. If he’s that good, second contract will cost you, but he won’t be as good cuz you gave him 250 touches x 4-5 years. Plenty of RBs to be had later. I love Jonah Coleman in the 4th-5th. Unless you got a plan for a very good WR in the second, I don’t see Jeanty as a cowboy.

Will mcclay is overrated. Btw puka was my pet cat coming out of BYU. he was also the dominant stand out receiver at the senior bowl on day one when he got injured. . Can't believe he slid to the 5th round. I had 1-2 grade on puka. This past draft i had a higher grade on kingsley suamataia than tyler guytan. We should've taken kingsley. Late 3rd ) way better. Will mcclay has 5 bad pics for evey good pick. Taco, Tristan Hill, cb nayshawn wright, Mazzi Smith, schoonmaker, gallimore, just to name a few. Rams draft way better than us and get no credit. They didn't have a first round pick last year and the got Avila 2nd stud kobe Turner in 3rd arguably defensive player of the year Byron Young solid d line and puka who deserved offensive rookie of the year. That's 4 day 1 plug and play starters and 2 pro bowl studs. And they didn't have a first round pick. Mcclay ....take some notes

If the cowboys front office is smart they should draft building blocks first, draft to make whatever player is better for either O-line or D-line. They have have to beef up the trenches first! Both sides of the ball.. than later in a year or so they can draft a dynamic running back.
