Lantern Pike does give beautiful views. There is a Trig on its side near there, but I've never been to it. Another great video with the fantastic drone footage. Thanks for sharing.

@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling l got bitten to death up there, thousands of midges. Don't know where they came from because they were nowhere else on the walk.

@oldbaldmansadventures luckily I've avoided them but I keep the lilly white legs covered. It's my tic phobia. Don't you have the tic removal tool. The thought of you examining your undercarriage with a mirror did elicit a chuckle. I've done it myself too.

To get to the Lantern Pike trig. Walking from the Sett Valley Trail, via the reservoir end. When you get to the gate and sign Lantern Pike, walk to the top of the hill and instead of turning right to the toposcope, carry straight on to a wall/fence, look to your right and the trig can be seen clearly on its side, just below three mounds of stones. Turn right before the wall/wire fence and walk parallel, there is a faint trail, advisable to have your poles handy, until you reach the wall separating the trig field, with horses, from the adjacent field with mainly sheep. Here the wire fence has been broken and its possible to climb over the wall. Watch the wire to avoid catching clothes and for ease of passage return the same way. The map says Open Access land!?
