Fall time here is 45 in the morning 65-70 in the afternoon. Not much rain yet but November brings the whole enchilada, rain, frost, hail, high winds and sometimes even ice or snow. Hope your days are full of enjoyment under the sun blessed by God.

Paw paw used to put long line of sweet cakes on the ground to count cattle. They would come up from the creek and everywhere to eat those cottonseed, sorghum and whatever else they had in them. We had to remain silent while he was counting. Cousin dared me to bite into one once, wasn’t terrible.

I love to see Lawrence is packing either his side arm or the rifle!!!!! Also noticed several with Wesley packing his side arm!!!!! He will always have a good respect for the proper use of caring. I grew up that way always had a firearm any loaded setting close both in the house and in the barn when milking the cows!!!!!!❤❤

Small family cow calf ops are the heart of america...its always hard to keep things straight, but you guys have some damn nice cattle..I know from first hand experience...that dont happen overnight.!! Kudos to Lawrence...hes done a lifetime of fine breeding!! Herd is a fine specimine ,!!!

Hi. It was 43 yesterday morn in Texas. 83 right now.🤣I grew up in the foothills of Blue Ridge in Va. Go to the parkway and drive it all the way. It leaves you stunned. Your horses 🥰. Fall is intoxicating. Squirrel hunting with my Dad was the best. I could skin one in my sleep. Rabbits were OK for stew, but give me dark meat.

Sloppy joe two pounds 80 percent ground beef brown it in frying pan slice small onion salt pepper Mc orange seasoning salt cavendars season salt two cans hunts tomatoe paste. Cook till done.

For a little change in your sloppy joes add a little of your favorite smoky bbq sauce..... it'll give it a different flavor profile, I like Sweet Baby Ray's but use whatever you like.....I don't measure anything but a tablespoon is a good place to start and customize to your flavor...

A hot & cold wash rack for horses? Why not? Easy. Again, barter for it. With the cost of beef, there has to be some plumber that would supply everything at wholesale cost and his labor for beef. One steer used as barter could get lots of stuff done. Why not? This saves wages and taxes. For both parties. Just today I bartered 2 pieces of the Mackinac Bridge I bought 7/21 for help with my furnace from a retired furnace guy. Just today, I bartered help with some lifting for storage of a 5th wheel on my property (and he will clean my drive of snow and replace batteries in my security cameras. ) I am 85 and love to barter.

Cows are very hard to count yes. But if u have mix breeds with many colors it gets a bit easier than trying to read that little number from a mile away cause there all black lol

As I have gently tried to comment before, several times, Please consider somehow getting a good mechanic to agree to visit your farm to fix things. Now a fan on something is broken. Barter with a mechanic. Find a mechanic that may drive past / near your place on his or her way to work. Not somebody that has to drive out of their way. A "fan" could be as simple as a fan belt. Something that requires you to make a trip into town, leave the vehicle there, bring another to get you home, might be done in 30 minutes or less .... letting your farming skills to get the farming done.
