Cows, hay and who won the bale count... summer is busy!

Circle P Enterprises (Betsy and Reece) provides contract hay services in the Western Montana area. We are a 250 head beef cattle operation and we want to show you what ranching is all about.

Reece and Betsy help Reeces parents move their cows to a new pasture. The heat is getting unbearable in Montana. Haying in Avon gets going. The kids help one afternoon. The elk moved into Snowshoe hay one day. Greg Schlafer is our Townsend bale count winner, good job!!!!

Nice to watch you guys working with horses. We used to use horses a lot, but now we use a grain pail and call the cows to move them, maybe a quad if we have to.

Haha, Walter is often times to helpful with the cows so he got left at home! 😉 He has been going to work with me, Betsy and he likes resting in this heat!

It’s been in the 90s for 3 weeks, I don’t think I ever remember heat like this for so long. We just didn’t get much snow this winter or enough spring rain. Fire season might be brutal this year!
