BROTHER. I just watched this movie as an adult for the first time. This clip stuck with me. So I search it. It stuck with me specifically for the delivery of that word. I believe it’s his confidence. He was taught the warriors way as an Oslow member. His delivery. In his panic you can see his experience and grit shine through as he can in that moment remain calm and deliver the life saving information to his mate. I served in the marine corps infantry. I was no great warrior. But I have a friend who big wig reminds me of and particularly so here in this scene we speak of with the wire.

Well... This is basically a cosmic horror story for rabbits. Cowlsip warren "made a deal" with Man. They are safe. They get best food for free. No Elil dares come near them. But as every "deal" with an eldritch abomination goes... It's not really a deal. They are just being used, changed and exploited. While being horribly mentally broken by something thay can't even properly understand.

Umm, I’m gonna have to respectfully disagree. I watched The Plague Dogs once and it was waaaaaay darker than this. I have seen this movie so many times I’ve lost count. But this movie doesn’t disturb me on any level. Yes, I love this movie that much. The Plague Dogs on the other hand, great movie, not gonna lie, but have you forgotten the scene where Snitter accidentally stepped on the shotgun trigger? I apologize if this seems like I’m attacking you, but I’m not, I’m just voicing an opinion. But that doesn’t mean I don’t respect yours, I just disagree with you. But, that’s just me, and everyone has a different outlook on things and I can’t bash that. Have a nice day.👋🙂

@@LauranceDonMac i remember that scene, the beginning is actually dark, later its rather ok. Here we have a lot of blood and corpses, the Efrafa rabbits, Jesus Christ! Of course i understand your opinion and respect it. They are both by the same author, what kind of cruel beast was he, animal abuser for sure. Ive recently watched Nimh, gosh, its so dark as hell! During watching i thought its way darker than this and plague dogs taken together. All dogs go to heaven, man, i loved to shatter my psychics with it, but Nimh is probably much darker even despite Anne Maries backstory. Don Bluth really must be an animal abuser and satanist if he makes movies like these. But I think nothing can beat animal farm. The 40s cartoon, maybe much darker than the live action version and the book despite happy ending

Anybody want to help me understand Cowslip? He’s all twitchy and off putting.. complicity is one thing. What’s this about the feeling of “mist”? Getting lost?

That's the point of his character, hes supposed to be off-putting, although I wouldn't call him twitchy, more of he doesn't move how a rabbit should, he's nonchalant and graceful, like he has not a care in the world. It's supposed to alud that something is wrong-- As for the mist that's also supposed to alud to something wrong, fiver says this because the rabbits are deceiving them, not telling them or warning them about the dangers of the traps. That's what the mist means.

Strongly recommend reading this section in the book, Chapters 12-17. This movie is brilliant but it doesn't (probably can't) adequately capture the horror and familiarity of Cowslip's warren
