New subscriber here. I enjoy seeing those old Cox engines (or any old old glow engine) given new life. I have many great childhood memories with Cox and Testors planes, cars and engines.

Your welcome. Those are fantastic engines. The Black widow is probably my favorite Reed Valve glow engine.

Wonderful job! That thing will run forever. Be careful not to run it too lean: tweak the needle to highest RPM and then back off til it stutters, then up just till it smooths out. Too lean for max RPM and these things fry FAST.

Great work - would be even faster with the proper high comp Cox head instead of that regular plug conversion. But I’m sure you know this anyway 😊

Highly interesting, - in need of a new fuel tank and cylinder for a Cox Tee Dee .020, - any suggestions where to get it (if possible) ?

You could try cox international.com they have most of that available. The top end is a tougher though. Ebay is probably your best bet.

The white scotchbrite pad is the only grade that is NON-abrasive. Results with any other pad would be very different.

Thanks for watching. Now I just need to fix my old lathe so I can do more things at a higher precision. Can't wait to make some bellcrank, wheel and prop bushings. Cheers.
