Coyle cup check on Ekblad - Have your say!

Charlie Coyle got his stick up between the legs of Aaron Ekblad. There was no call on the play, but I guarantee you if there was it would be called a slash. Should there be some sort of middle ground penalty between a slash and a spear that accounts for driving the shaft of your stick upward like this? Have your say!

I think the slashing rule should include the text that any intentional slash to the groin is a major + game misconduct. The IIHF rule book had this but they have removed that text.

​@scottyboy6269 It's not a spear, it's still a slash, he swung his stick in an upward manner to hit him with the shaft. A spear would see him stab/jab the tip of his stick blade into the opponent.
