I Finally moved to 6creed myself to flatten that hold out as far as I’m comfortable getting PID on the dogs. I played with those short 16” .308 spitting 115gr CC but the holds still got me after 225. Best of luck this year.

Good video and explanation bro. Being from texas , i find it hard to even hunt because i don't own land and almost every square ft of texas is privately owned. Can you talk about how to acquire land or find places to hunt legally? Alot of false advertising that people in texas will pay you or let you hunt on there land to remove hogs but i find that the opposite. You have to book a hog hunt and they aren't cheap. Just clear some confusion for us. Im in houston if that matters

Go get something like Caven’s Yodel Dog and start making scent markings at spots on borders or on dirt roads where you normally see coyote tracks or scat. Stick trail cams up at these spots. All you have to do is smear some of that stuff on a low branch or rock. This time of year they will start checking it near daily.

Yeah man I've noticed some of the same I even have electronic calls and it's like they no something isn't right so they don't even show up or show any interest in the calls if you see them. All the farms and deer leases we hog/deer hunt we have a bone yard and I've killed a many coyotes off of them but eventually they get wise to the bone yards also so just dropping some dead hogs at a different part of the property makes a huge difference. Good shooting and great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

Is it possible that your reputation amongst all the field varmints has grown? that's why you aren't seeing many of them. We have year around hunting in 13-mile radius on my reservation back home and deer are scarce because we always shoot them but there are many deer around the perimeter of our reservation. I know deer are not field varmints and hogs like you hunt, but it could be a variable that accounts for the lack of varmints in your area, I mean that is why you shoot them right, because they are pests? A friend tells me hogs are unclean and not healthy eating because they are feral and full of parasites, but I think I remember you saying they are good eating, correct me if I'm wrong. It would comfort my violence tolerance level (everybody's level is different) if I knew that they were, besides good targets whose eradication is warranted as they are also pests but are also good eaten.
