Good hunting. I sacrificed a hunt the other year to drop a big yote, and I'd do it again. I think we need to do our part to keep them in check & help the fawns. Kind of a target of opportunity. Cheers from Tug Hill.

I was grouse hunting up in tug hill last year, in the state park and I’ve never heard so many coyotes at night in my life. Sounded like there was 100 of them, couldn’t believe it

@@daveh9080 yea they are a damn pandemic it takes trappers in every town to keep the numbers down. Usually pack will have 8-12 sometimes more in a larger pack, but they sound like 60 or more when all going nuts. I used to howl at night and have four maintain tops have a pack on each answer back. They would do this almost every time to let each pack know there perimeter locations

On an evening hunt about ten years ago, had the same thing happen! Killed a nice doe about 30 minutes later!

Only thing i dont like about black powder is you have to wait a few seconds for the smoke to clear to tell if you hit your target
