Hi, congratulations, beautiful hunt, I have a question, I saw the arrows you collected that are no longer perfectly straight, usually when you hunt often do you use new ones or can you re-straighten them? Thank you, greetings from Italy

Ima open up here a little, my parents are some of the hardest working people I know but they are undocumented so I was held back from doing a lot of things growing up out of fear of getting caught or just not having the paperwork to begin with, I’ve always wanted to do this and this video helped a lot, god bless brother 🤝

I've used dozens of wooden handled axes and those cheap, crappy fiberglass cored, plastic coated handles over the years and I'd trade a whole pile of those for one Fiskars axe. They are tough as steel, light as a feather and cut like a razor blade on a stick. Wooden handles ALWAYS work loose and break. The fiberglass cored handles either snap off or they vibrate so bad your hands ache so badly after a few minutes that you can't grip them anymore. The Fiskars axes have NEVER failed me...... NEVER.......

For the knife question, I have a Buck 107 with the original sheath that my dad bought as a teenager in the mid 70s. I keep it razor sharp and use it for fish and small game. Its a great fixed blade knife.

Catch these fish in wild waters and you're good. Catch suckers, much less any other fish in or at least 40 miles downstream of any major city, and it's not good. You MUST be sure of the water quality that you harvest your fish from. You're living my dream. Out in the middle of nowhere, no people, no cites and only wilderness.

Very nice joib. Remove entrails before filleting so you don't run the knife in and out of the guts and meat repeatedly.

Hey great find your video. quick question can you freeze those eggs if you dont want to eat them all at once?
@paparomesoutdoors711
@paparomesoutdoors711 Ай бұрын
To be honest I never froze them to eat later I always ate them fresh, but I froze them for making egg sacks for bait and when thawed they seemed liked fresh, again idk how that would be I prefer them fresh day of to eat. Thanks for watching

Why kill an animal that doesn't cause any harm to the environment?
@paparomesoutdoors711
@paparomesoutdoors711 Ай бұрын
We believe in conservation and keeping the heard at a healthy population prevents them from over populating, getting rabies and other diseases, also prevents starvation from lack of food with so many deer. The biggest part is we utilize every part of our animal harvested to the fullest ability, no waste

To each his own, of course. But I'll share this just to be tallied among those who aren't interested in a composite chopper. On a splitting maul or ax, composite is just fine. But felling, bucking, limbing, I prefer wood. Reasons for my preference (I'd say "personal" preference, but it's certainly not unique to me at all, as I am in good company): (1) I can alter/tune the wood handle to my preferences (thin as can be, flexible); (2) I can make a smooth hickory handle that doesn't raise blisters, is surfaced in smooth, cured linseed oil finish. With composite, you get what you get. No way to change it and, if damaged, probably replace the whole ax. Again, for a splitting ax, not an issue. An ax dedicated to splitting only, I don't have a strong preference and own and use both. But for cutting, I want a modifiable handle with ease of replacement capabilities. What I want in my hands, personally, just doesn't come in a composite model.
