Tarantulas are less likely to bite you, as long as you don't freak out like a little baby. guys, yes they rehearse shows. but conan has no idea what animals will come. the approval is done by the producers. they actually rehearse every part of the show roughly and bits/skits but they don't actually rehearse the animal bits until the live taping. conan is obviously very upset here and you can hear it in his voice when he tells jeff "you dont have to do anything you aren't comfortable with" that he was not expecting coyote to involve jeff.

Look at his face 0:46. He did not approve of them both being on him at the same time. He repeated "get this thing off me" multiple times before coyote took it, after which he rapidly removed his arm in discomfort. and at 1:30 he also immediately tries to shut down coyote when he decides to give one of the bugs to Jeff (who started holding andy's hand btw, due to discomfort), Which coyote ignores. Overall it was very unprofessional behaviour and i'd be surprised if coyote didn't get to hear that backstage afterwards.
