Predator control was my living for many years. Really enjoyed it.

It's sad to see what our Government has done to the trapping industry. Years ago many people made a living trapping. Even I remember getting as high as $26 for a coon hide. My great uncle was one of the biggest fur dealers in the South most of his life.

I enjoy seeing how these traditional methods of hunting and fishing are so effective.

Yes sir and some are pretty simple, yet easily overlooked in life without a little guidance. Our ancestors didn't learn survival techniques over night. It was handed down over 100s of year of trial and error. I'm afraid Technology is killing man's ability to survive. Young people got no interest in learning survival because everything is so easy for them. I'm afraid its all a big trap we are falling in.

Glad to see the old timers still at it. Hope I'll be able to be that way one day. Keep the videos coming. Love it.

We were just talking yesterday that we gonna need snares for our trap line. Footholds are good but they come in spooky and snares catch them where they aren’t expecting it. Good stuff. The old timers are masters at this because they’re the originators of these techniques. Cracked yourself up about doing God’s work lol

You already got a good trap line going. Snares definitely add to it!!

I look at it for documenting his knowledge. He's for sure got plenty on catching coyotes. He's pretty sharp on some other stuff too. You can sure count on listening to those soft spoken guys!!!

If the state don't allow snare trapping... Handful of people have to change their mind... That's what it's going to take is enough people to show or do whatever it takes to change the state to make it legal

Why’s he taking them home alive what’s up with that? I’m just getting into coyote trapping since they shown up on my hometown island just within recent years and within last year numbers exploded to where it’s time to start thinning them out. I just wondering if he’s killing them anyway why’s he taking them out alive and puttin in back of his truck in cage is he not killing them and if so why not kill them in the snare when you walk up? Can someone who knows please inform me I’m just curious and trying to learn everything to do with this

Sorry I wrote question at beginning of video and by the end I got my answer to why he was keeping them alive.

In some states it's legal to transport them to a Fox/coyote pen for running hunting dogs for field trial and training purposes
