In 77 the Z28 only had 185 horsepower from the 350 cubic inch engine

I bought a brand new 1978 Z28 4 speed, as my first new car. Took delivery in October of 1977, window sticker was $7,300. Had the 3.73 posi rearend. Great top end car. This one is mint for the price. Wish I could afford it. Maybe someday?

The stopped making the Z28 in 1974 but brought it back three years later to compete with the hot selling Pontiac Trans Am. These later seventies Z28's were equipped with a 350 engine rated at just over 200hp. Naturally the most desirable Z28's were the 69-74's. The 1977 Z28 was pretty smogged out with catalytic converters. This black 1977 seems to be in decent shape, not show quality but a nice retro Camaro.

We don't know why, but we always liked the '77.5 Z/28 comeback model, for some reason. There was nothing special in the engine bay, but they handled well, and looked pretty cool, when they first came out. 👍

I absolutely love that car. My friend had one a few years after high school and it used to just like crawl down the road. Those pipes just don’t know boom boom all it was fantastic when he get on it and burn his tires all the way down the road I mean really smoke them!!!! sincerely, wild Bill, William Boyle
