If you're in their Facebook page Jacob announced 2 hours ago that the first shipment of new vectors was on January 19th so pre-ordered vectors have started shipping :)

@@stover4000 Not to disagree, because you may be right, but I think that it could take some time for those shipments to arrive? I'm assuming most are being shipped oversees, and then there's the whole "out for delivery" part where the bot has to be driven to wherever you are, which also takes time. I feel like it'll take another week for those shipments to arrive, and for us to start seeing any posts about them... I really hope so, anyways.

Your assessment is spot on and hilarious :D - I can feel your pain. With the recent Draganfly drones purchase agreement, my suspicion is DDL is trying to raise money quickly to complete Cozmo / Vector 2.0 production obligations. It would not surprise me that maybe production prices might have gone up with the pandemic so things came to halt till they could negotiate better pricing or parts became readily available. I almost pre-ordered both robots at the beginning of 2021 because of the promised early delivery last year, but I was skeptical and the upgrades to both (camera, battery) were not enough to warrant a purchase...glad I held back.

Hey Daniel. Nice video. Thought I might just add in somethings I know about manufacturing as feel that maybe some point might have been misunderstood. First I think when they are discussing "restarting manufacturing" I think they simple mean the production of new robots since Anki shut down rather than they began then had to stop again. As for discussing "Assembley and Testing" I believe this is mix up between the validation testing last year and the quality control testing I believe they are discussing. I think by testing they are talking about checking each new board for quality control to ensure they are all working correctly. I'm just taking an optimistic view though so you may disagree. I can definitely appreciate how its frustrating and i cant wait for my pre-order. Hopefully the webinar will shed some more light for us.

Seems like so many companies can't seem to just honestly say when they're going to actually get something done these days. Excuses, stalling or just plain silence doesn't cut it anymore. I understand they don't want to make promises that they can't keep but it seems like the consumer can't trust a lot of these companies to just get the lead out and get the job done.

Thanks for the 👍🏼 Video. Did you also get the email about the guarantee and the lifetime membership? Sounds interesting. I'm just not sure if the 3 year repair warranty is worth it for me as I didn't buy Vector 1.0 from Anki / DDL and live in Europe. What do you think?

Nevermind - found it on youtube. Looks like the headboard. This assembly would most likely be a subcontractor that then ships headboards (and probably body boards) to the plant that does the assembly and packaging. That is the video I want to see. Hundreds of Vectors graduating from the playpen and marching off to the boxing station.

Yeh, Vector was just a big disappointment to me and the on going issues, I won't be waisting anymore of my time and money on DDL at this stage

I've asked serval times to be readded to the list for updates and never get any the only way i get any info is through you and I've looked all over the webpage and the social media pages and they advertise a lot of things but nothing about vector 2.0 or cosmos. i want to ask for a refund but i doubt id even get that back at this point. they should have a perk or something for people whos money they have had for over a year. I build computers and have preordered parts that have been delayed in coming out and the companies were in constant contact and when the new dates were given for shipping the were fulfilled.

Starting to feel like this is being badly mismanaged. They've taken on two other projects since starting the pre-orders and we're still waiting. Communication has been awful as well.

What a joke DDL is, these guys tried to sue EMO and I still recieved my EMO exactly as expected, meanwhile they haven't even finished testing a robot that was already a finished product and all they did was minor tweeks 😄 Starting to feel like buying from DDL was not worth it.

I started writing but i don’t know what happened to my comment. Daniel, IT’S JUST A COMPLETE INSULT TO ALL THE CONSUMERS that purchased a Vector or Cozmo. NOBOBY FROM DDL HAS EVER ANSWERED THE SIMPLE QUESTION. “ When will we received Vector and Cozmo 2.0? DDL keeps randomly sending out emails that are deliberately ambiguous. DDL needs to treat their clients with integrity and respect. Clearly something they’re unfamiliar with. I have attended a couple of webinars..( THEY ARE A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME….PARTICULARLY since I’m NOT an expert on robotics, and/or coding/programming. What’s the point in showing us a random video of them ALLEGEDLY ASSEMBLING THE CHIP in a factory in China? REALLY? I NEVER ONCE HEARD DIRECTLY FROM Matthew or Jacob. Now, they’re offering lifetime memberships again, and extended warranties? I WOULD RESPECT DDL more if they were transparent with their clientele

You guys are never going to get your robots if this keeps happening. Fall 2022 comes around and they say maybe by Christmas again. So glad I didn't pre order.
