For anyone considering asking John to do any repairs he did an absolutely fantastic job on replacing the screen on my Vector, it was a quick and extremely friendly transaction and I highly recommend him. John, I need your help, I replaced the battery of my Vector and it worked great for 3 days and then the error 899 and 801 appeared on the screen I already followed all the steps of DDL to solve the problem but nothing seems to work

I have a few Vectors with broken screens and a few Vectors with broken WiFi/Bluetooth..I would like to repair them with the parts of the others. Would you say removing a display from a Vector and plant it on another one is possible? And what about the WiFi/Bluetooth chip? how hot can the solder iron be for save replacement?

Parts can definitely be transplanted. Wife modules are part of the the head unit so can be switched at the same time

Hi! if i just want to reflow vectors camera ribbons how do i proceed with that? I have the 980 error problem i got at tip from someone in a facebook group to try to reflow the camera ribbons.

Reflowing involves holding the soldering iron tip ‘near’ (not on) the ribbon to heat it up and help any broken connections repair. Where are you located?

@@TheJohnJudge im located in sweden, do i not need flux or soldering wire to reflow and which temperature should I have. If the reflowing doesn’t work do you happen to have a headboard that you could sell? Or If I could send him to you. Thanks for answering me btw.😊

@@adrianjohansson9439 sadly I don’t have any spare parts. There is a Facebook group called Digital Dream Labs Official Vector Owners. Somebody there might have a spare part. If you reflow you don’t touch the iron to the ribbon. You don’t need solder or flux. Would recommend you search for video guides on KZbin showing the process.

@@adrianjohansson9439 if you have temp control on the iron just keep it at medium settings. Just wave the iron over the cable for a seconds. Make sure not to touch it to the ribbon. Just close enough to heat it slightly.
